SARASOTA (FOX 13) - Surrounding roads are shut down and all nearby businesses have been evacuated as police investigate a suspicious package Wednesday morning.
Sarasota police said the package was found on a sidewalk near Arlington and U.S. 41.
Officials have shut down U.S. 41 between Waldereme and Hillview. Traffic is being diverted.

I lived in Sarasota for 11 years, 15 years ago ...
Great little town to raise a family...
Recently went back, certain areas, (lots of illegals) have really changed the town...
Sarasota has become a quasi-sanctuary city...
They city passed "Florida Compact" but won't enforce it..
