Many New Hampshire "house parties" for candidates, for example, are a logistical hassle for both guests and journalists, who often have to park at a considerable distance and walk the rest of the way. Not at a Trump house party. For Trump's recent gathering in neighboring Bedford, his campaign arranged for the use of a nearby church parking lot, and then rented large white vans (marked "TRUMP") to shuttle the 200 or so guests in air-conditioned comfort. Will they though?
Every election cycle we go through the same thing. We want to beat guys like McConnell, McCain, etc...
Every year we know the issues and yet every year we get defeated. We have a few exceptions, but it is largely been the rule.
Why would Trump addressing it now put these people on the spot? Graham won’t face re-election for 5 years. McCain, who knows...but Trump wants to support yet another candidate against him...which will give McCain the win. Maybe we can pick up MS if Cochran goes. Perry is no longer running for anything, so it doesn’t matter.
I would like to think Trump is doing them damage, but instead of focusing on people like McCain and Graham this far out, let’s take out Jeb, etc, first.
