I had a 3 year membership, and it’s almost up. I already emailed them that I had no intention of renewing.
Yup. We dumped our subscription the day that Angie’s List came out in favor of homosexual marriage. Many of our friends did likewise.
There was also a report about the ratings and how companies paid for good ratings vs honest opinions. The more the company paid.. the higher on the list they were listed.
Looks like the Gaystapo thing isn’t working out for Angie.
Allying oneself with less than 3% of the population usually isn’t a sound business strategy.
Makes me wonder how we got by the first 200+ years without an “Angie’s list” to tell us how to pick a vendor.
What a racket.
It’s a scam outfit anyway. Plenty of online reviews FREE for most services.
Is there anything in the article that links the drop off to Angie’s List support of sodomy?
I think I read in another article that Angie’s List has never made a profit in all the years they’ve been in business. I can’t understand how these internet companies survive while losing money. I guess they’re worth more than they’re worth.
I cancelled my membership and was very loud and forceful about it. I let them know exactly why I cancelled, that I was also telling family and friends and I will disparage their company to anyone who came to my business saying they found me through AL.
Isn’t this the anti-Christian website?
Anyone holding ANGI stock should be suing them for Breach of Fiduciary Responsibility.
and remember to never buy a Serta matress (unless you love illegals).
My membership ends within 2 months. They will not see a dime from me again.
All because the company hates religious freedom.
This is good news - I dropped them right after their nonsense in the Indiana mess.
It was enjoyable responding to the lady concerning her question as to why we were canceling. :-)
I used angies list for 3 months to find a roofer. They listed 1 roofer with the highest rating available. The roofer had recently been arrested for failing to complete contracts. The ratings are bogus
“They never should have got into the Indiana Gay-Marriage debate. ..”
Yup. True Americans don’t like it when businesses want to limit our First Amendment rights.
I found it amazing that one of the higher ups at Angie’s List was on Chris Wallace today and pooh-pooh the fact that Hillary is in negative numbers on the trustworthy factor in the polls. This from a representative of a company whose main point is to provide a trustworthy factor. After hearing her I could no more use her company’s recommendations than I could the word of someone on the street corner.
