Maria Konnikova is not someone Donald Trump would typically describe as a loser. Fluent in Russian and English, she writes authoritatively on psychology and culture. Her work has appeared in prestigious publications ranging from The Atlantic to Scientific American. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard, she received her Ph.D. in psychology from Columbia University.
Four years ago, Konnikova wrote a piece for a publication called Big Think, postulating that Trumps perpetual boorishness is attributable to mental illness, specifically a condition called narcissistic personality disorder.
History professor Jelani Cobb, writing in The New Yorker, focused on another facet of The Donalds persona. [I]n all the ways that matter, save actual performing, Donald Trump is not a politicianhes a rapper, Cobb postulated. If elected, hes less likely to represent George W. Bushs third term than Kanye Wests first one.
Maria hasn’t wrote anything authoritatively on BHO? So it isn’t so!? The left is really transparent if you know how to look with your eyes.
I wish you had said that earlier. I didn't realize I was debating with God.
...can you find even one of your posts from the past 6 years where you call Obama evil?
Who cares about the polls? Laughing at the leftists (including the GOP-e RINOs) crapping in their pants daily is worth an admission price.
“Guys like Trump and Rush Limbaugh have larger than life personalities. Its their livelihood.”
Rush is an entertainer. Trump is just the type of person that gives being rich a bad name. In fact he gives a bad name to ANYTHING he associates with.
I have seen people say and do some really disagreeable things here on FR, but supporting Trump is right up there - or maybe worse - that the loons that supported Paul. At least Paul actually believed some of the libertine nonsense he spouted. Trump is just playing folks here and elsewhere for fools. He must be a student of P.T. Barnum.
the party leadership wants the things you say, but they do hold primaries and we bet Trump could, well, trump Hillary with most of the D voters (if they were give the choice...)
just my humble opinion. we see the D party as having been taken over by some activist extreme leftists, backed up with billions of dineros ..... but many D voters we meet are not in love with the communistic policies
I am a Cruz supporter, however I still want the Donald wrecking ball tearing the GOPe RINOs apart along with the Dems. I still want him speaking up about illegal immigration and support for our military. I love the pain he is causing the political class and media.
As far as shilling for Hillary his comments have cut her deep.
e.g. If you take a look at whats going on in terms of relationship with the United States, everybody hates us. Hillary Clinton was the worst secretary of state in the history of the United States. Hillary was the worst in the history of the United States, theres never been a secretary of state so bad as Hillary.
I think Hillary would be a terrible president. She was the worst secretary of state in the history of our nation. Why would she be a good president? I think shed be a terrible president.
What is most sad isn't that Trump is a realityTV clown, it's that so many conservatives seem to support him - even knowing he has no record as an ideological conservative. We make fun of Obama's gang as the Kardashian Presidency, and yet here we are with this ridiculous realityTV snake oil salesman getting so much support on many conservative forums where you'd think people would know better. I think the lesson is, some people on both sides are susceptible to falling prey to angry populists who have no actual solutions, but say things people want to hear. You'd hope it would only be emotional liberals that would fall for these things, but no, the problem exists with people of all political stripes.
However, Donald Trump is such a despicable personage that I would NEVER vote for him in either a primary or GENERAL election.
See this is where I differ with some. I think Trump is a ridiculous clown with no actual conservative plan or policy prescription to achieve the things he claims he will do. However, I WILL vote for him if he were to be the Republican nominee (which won't happen anyway). Trump would be a wildcard - could be absolutely horrible or might actually try to follow through on his right of center promises. The odds are pretty good though that he would be better than Hillary or any other Democrat. So yeah, in a general election I'd vote for him. Then again, in a general election I'd vote for any R over a Democrat. Not because the R is any good, but that they'd be better than the D. General elections are a choice in our 2 party, winner take all, no coalition system. Voting for Trump wouldn't mean I like him, it would just mean I dislike the other guy/gal more.
Neither do I.
That being said, I must wonder if Trump isnt intentionally wrecking the GOP primary to set up Mrs. Clinton. Trump HAS backed her big time in the past. Folks - SUPPORT FOR TRUMP IS SUPPORT FOR CLINTON!
That has crossed my mind too.
Liz will be 70. There's plenty of opportunity for a younger candidate to take the nomination away from her.
If Hillary wins in 2016, there will be no America in 2020 to run for.
Hillary's going to have real trouble getting her way. That could be a bad thing. Or a good thing. Bad because a weak president invites trouble abroad. Good because she could end up hurting her party and her cause.
“Except that Trump has done more for the victims of illegal immigration in the last 6 weeks than all the other candidates combined.”
That is totally asinine. Trump hasn’t done anything for anyone but himself. I am amazed that anyone could make such a naïve statement.
You realize he is probably going to write his own version of Mein Kampf so you can read and worship him? Obviously you already do.
Mr. Trump did NOT hurt Sen. Cruz.
Sen. Cruz shot himself in the kneecap by
helping pass ObamaTRADE before he voted against
it (when it was unstoppable).
Sen. Cruz would have been in first place but for that.
You and Lindsey Grahmam’s boy agree:
Donald Trump continues to show hourly that he is ill-prepared to be commander in chief, Lindsey Graham campaign manager Christian Ferry said in an e-mailed statement. The two people most excited about Donald Trumps candidacy are Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
lol....I know what you mean...it has been hilarious to watch.
Mr. Trump opened a hot line for VETS.
and he spoke up for border security.
That is not EVIL. Obama and the DNC
and their supporters Boehner, McConnell,
McCain and the corrupt Issa are EVIL.
I love listening to the GOPe CRYING ABOUT TRUMP.....
It just validation how out of touch they are with he average voter.
Our country is in trouble. A milk toast Republican is not going to work. We are way past that point.
Wow, I second that. He's a distraction and while many here enjoy his GOPe bashing, at some point he needs to be swept away.
HELLary CLinton will win in 2016 on the 14th recount..

The real estate mogul’s comments came one day after Clinton called out Trump during a speech at the National Council of La Raza in Kansas City, saying, “It was appalling to hear Donald Trump describe immigrants as drug dealers, immigrants and rapists.”
“I have just one word for Mr. Trump: ‘Basta!’ Enough,” Clinton added.
It didn’t take long for the brash Trump to respond, accusing Clinton of lying about his comments.
“Failing candidate Hillary Clinton, who is desperately trying to hold on to her lead in the Democratic primary against Bernie Sanders, is knowingly putting out lies about my stance on illegal immigration,” Trump said in the statement.
Trump goes on to say that his comments were not intended to knock immigration, but is just “very critical of the country of Mexico for sending us people that they don’t want.”
“Hillary should spend more time producing her illegally hidden emails and less time trying to obfuscate a statement by me that is totally clear and obviously very much accepted by the public as true,” Trump said.
Bump!
