Donald Trump smiled in uniform as a cadet at the New York Military Academy then sidestepped the Vietnam draft with college enrollment and a medical deferment for bone spurs a relatively minor injury in his foot....
After leaving the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, he was quickly classified as 1-A, available for service in July 1968 and went for a physical that September.
He was "disqualified" at some point after the physical and got a medical deferment in October 1968, the records show....

All you have to do is read the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal. Trump is being trashed there. He is being trashed at National Review too.
Very well played.
And most conservatives go right along with the glaring double-standards.
Looks like the first trip didn't take.
If it came down to Trump verses Hilda-beast or Sanders, I'd vote for Trump...At least he will be entertaining as POTUS
I'd give Trump some credit here, he either has a real eye for what the American people are thinking or very good research teams...
He has manged to tap into the underlying fury most Americans feel about DC and the direction the country is going...
He can ride that horse for only so long, at some point he will have to have real policy positions and a platform besides, you are a "loser" and a "dummy"
That is indeed a good sign.
Trump better have very good security.
Realistically, Trump is the candidate who
disparaged those military personnel who
get captured. Why not try to roll with a
little bit of humor?
Draft Dodger? I guess anyone with a 300+ Lottery Number like Trump had is a Draft Dodger now. Mine was 207, so I guess I was a Draft Dodger as well.
Two of my old Friends were #1 and #3 in the Lottery. They both joined the Air Force two weeks later. They didn’t want to become Infantry fodder, so I guess they were semi Draft Dodgers even though they Served.
Way back when, the term Draft Dodger applied to those who chose Canada over Vietnam. The Draft Boards and Medical Exams determined timing and eligibility for everyone else.
My Brother had severs Asthma and was classified 4-F. Is he a Draft Dodger too? That Draft designation also cost him a Job at Delta Airlines a couple of Years later.
I noticed awhile back that his hair style pretty much has remained the same .....just interesting he’s stayed with that style.
