This weekend, I shed tears over the Iran deal–literally, and publicly. It happened during a discussion among congregants at my synagogue about President Barack Obama’s capitulation to the Iranian regime. That is how the deal is viewed in my Orthodox shul–universally. No one has any delusions about what the deal means for the United States and Israel.

While I share your revulsion at Jewish liberal Obamabots, I seriously doubt any Jews here on FR ever voted for him.

Wish I could remember which Jewish stand-up comic had the line that “a lot of people like the identity of being Jewish, they just don’t want to be bothered with this God guy hanging around.”

My Jewish relatives back east said they would vote for him again because he is a great friend of Israel. They said we are being lied to by Faux News. (They said Faux and they are in their 80’s)
There is no hope. Best thing that can happen to American is the next terrorist attack takes out the NY Slimes building.
Israel has consistently put off the hard choices to the point that it now faces a mortal danger and must risk many of their lives against this existential threat.
The greatest of their bad decisions was, after four or more conflicts joined against them, they did not expel every Muslim within their borders. Instead they chose, time and again, to live with a knife at their throat, horrified at the thought of appearing to be “mean” for a few years, in exchange for relative peace.
Now, faced with a murderous threat from Iran, they should have immediately embarked on a program to train the Iranians that nuclear weapons are intolerable. This could have cost as little as a few thousand Iranian lives. But refusing to do this now means that hundreds of thousands, or even millions of Iranians, and the lives of many Jews, are now likely forfeit.
Arguments, committee meetings, position papers, etc., do not amount to a hill of beans. Refusing to choose and act is itself a choice, and a very bad one.
Jews should get NO sympathy.
They contributed to and voted for this Anti America, anti Israel bumbling fool. and as they say, the chickens are coming home to roost/
obammy is doing his utmost to destroy Israel an them American Jews helped him do such.
I just hope all the socialist left wing Jews in America are happy now. Wonder how good they’ll feel if Iran nukes Israel.
As a Christian, I forgive those JINOS who have voted for Mr. Obama.
