We left Cali five years ago for Wyoming and we’ve never missed it because even when it’s -30 here it’s still warms my heart more than Cali ever could!

Were it not for, ahem, somebody to make this place more palatable - more like the poor Connecticut Yankee in King Athur’s Court - I would have left.
Yes, Hurricane Katrina was bad. Yes, i was there, during and after. The middle of the state is only 85 feet above sea level, but the land is at the fringe of the Yellowstone fallout, and the fringe of the New Madrid area of influence. The Bayou Corne is still eating up the land and expanding, and i live a mile and a half from a swamp.
