“Lots of people have been asking us to take it off,” Mr. Wellhoefer said. “Our response has been, ‘Thank you for your concern, have a great day and God bless you.’”

Rightious.

Stay strong, Mr. Wellhoefer!

How can a “labor commissioner” impose a fine? Can’t that only be done by a judge? Where was “due process” in this case.

Also, is the “labor commissioner” a poof?

I don’t like how this bakery and its owners has been castigated by the media and treated for their faith, but I also don’t like the idea of a bakery owned by Christians who interpret Matthew 5:32 as saying that you can only divorce and remarry if your spouse has committed adultery refusing service to other Christians whom they think are remarrying and thin their remarriage to be an adulterous one. Millions of Christians have divorced and remarried and I doubt that all of them interpret Matthew 5:32 this way.

And I certainly don’t like the idea of any Muslim who owns a business in a heavily concentrated area of Detroit or other city refusing business to other Muslims who don’t have beards.

Nor do I like the idea that Muslim cab drivers, some of whom said that they should not be forced to give rides to people who drink and being able to refuse service to people who do drink alcohol based upon religious belief -— as an attempt by some Muslims to refuse service on these grounds was attempted a little while back.

I would say the bakery proprietors did them a favor by not selling them a cake:

All the queers had to do was to move on to a bakery that would accommodate their perverted desires...piece of cake.

Now that the Kleins have reached their fundraising goals, it goes to show that a sizable number of Americans still err on the side of religious liberty.

"ERR"??? You should reconstruct that sentence, Courtney. How about "...it goes to show huge numbers of Americans are worried about the totalitarians destroying their First Amendment rights"? Grrrr!

Both of these instances have proven that lawsuits and threats only make unapologetic Christian businesses stronger.

I approve of supporting decent people like the victims of this malicious prosecution, but I pray that not one cent will go to the bullies who filed charges and lied about the so-called trauma of not having their orders to bake the cake obeyed (loss of appetite and weight gain, both? $135,000 in alleged suffering from not being able to order others around? really?). The lesbians in this case, the administrative "judge", and BOLI Commissioner Brad Avakian are shockingly disgusting people, who I hope will be shunned by all decent people until they repent, make restitution to the innocents they have harmed, and reform their thuggish and totalitarian ways. I hope the lesbians will die of old age or other natural causes before they are able to collect from their victims.

I hope they use the excess funds to sue the so-called “labor commissioner” into oblivion, like Mike Nifong after his evil persecution of the Duke lacrosse team.

Ok but how much are these useless (to humanity) mouth breather lesbians going to be raking in? Its a major crime if they score $100,000 off this phoney claim plus collusion with the phony baloney gov’t official who imposed the high fine

Awesome.

Genesis 50:20
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

I think that if the bakers use the money to fight the fags, they’ll win. I further think that if the bakers comply with the, what was he, a labor commissioner? That it’s going to open the doors for more frivolous nonsense where any city’s fag employee can impose similar extortion. The bakers need to fight this.

[Despite being booted from the website, the Christian bakers still managed to rake in and keep about $109,000 from the fund.

Their campaign was picked up by another crowdfunding site, Continue to Give, and it has lived up to its name. As of today, the campaign has reached about 250 percent of its goal. Here are the astounding figures:
A crowdfunding campaign for the Oregon bakery Sweet Cakes by Melissa has set a site record by raising $352,500 in about two months after being kicked off the GoFundMe website, far exceeding the initial goal of $150,000.]

God bless Continue to give and curse the evil leftwing GoFundMe site which collapsed under the liberal hate filled bigot dems, fems, and homosexual advocates. Sodom is their last end for who and what they do to innocent people who follow after the Way of Jesus Christ.

The good news is that thanks to the fundraising effort the bakers have the money to pay the fine. The bad news is that thanks to the fundraising effort the bakers have enough to pay the fine. Absent the fundraising they probably could have declared bankruptcy and cleared the obligation without the plaintiffs getting a dime.

Hate to say it, but this crap goes back to Civil Rights Legislation.

Had the Civil Rights Act only dealt with Government sponsored Discrimination, no problem. All Americans are equal under the Law.

As soon as it was directed towards Individuals and Private Businesses, it was a clear Violation of the Constitution. The SCOTUS affirmed that Freedom of Assembly and Freedom of Association are not mutually exclusive.

You are Free to Associate with those you choose to and you are Free to not Associate with those you choose not to.

It appears that our God Given Inalienable Right to the Free Exercise of Religion was also Sacrificed in the name of the same so called Civil Rights Legislation.
