The widow of Eric Garner and hundreds of protesters rallied outside a courthouse Saturday to call on federal prosecutors to indict the white police officer who put the black New York City man in a fatal chokehold a year ago.
"You all keep me empowered to speak," Garner's widow, Esaw Garner, told the demonstrators at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn.
"I will not stop loving him," she added. "I will never stop fighting for him."
The rally brought Garner's family together with the loved ones of other blacks whose high-profile deaths have prompted outcry and protests: Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Ramarley Graham. It was the second day of protests to mark the anniversary of Garner's death on July 17, 2014.

He can’t breed. That is what’s important now.
I love it.
Subhuman but might as well enjoy the reversing of Darwinism as man reverts to ape.
From the same lowlifes who refuse to call the murder of four Marines and a Sailor terrorism. Dumb bass turds.
Was the mother of Garner’s 1-year-old illegitimate child also there?
Didn’t they just get a $5.9 million dollar settlement with the city?
And besides, according to a Los Angeles Times article, “A grand jury ultimately declined to indict Pantaleo.” The NYPD stated that the type of hold (seatbelt hold) used by Panatleo was legal under NYPD guidelines.
> Didnt they just get a $5.9 million dollar settlement with the city?
Its never enough.
3 black males die during commission of crimes in which they broke the law. Hence, riots, burnings, chaos, protests and one way racial hatred.
COUNTLESS BLACK citizens are victims of Black violence in most major cities and NO ONE SEEMS TO GIVE A DAMN!!!!!!
Sharpton and his ilk sit in their lairs, just waiting for a black death that somehow involves a white person. Then the crap hits the fan, and they count the money coming in.
The “MEDIA” announces baseball, basketball, hockey, and football scores and results. Does anyone see the disgraceful tragedy when the same “MEDIA” announce the “Shot Dead and/or Wounded” scores in each of our major cities AND NO ONE RISES TO PROTEST?
What in the hell is going on? Silly...the answer is obvious, isn’t it?
Should have charged De Blasio and his ridiculous effort to curb singles sales
Yes.

That was just from NYC. The Feds hand out money in some of these things too, so she's probably looking for that payout too.
I wonder if Obama will also pay the family of the Chatanooga terrorist, seeing as he was gunned down by cops too.
“I will not stop loving him,” she added. “I will never stop fighting for him.”...........as long as there’s a chance of gettin rich.
Judging from the video I saw I’d probably vote,as a juror,to award $$$ in a civil trial. It *did* look to me as if the cops could have handled that matter differently. But in a criminal trial I,a juror, would have voted “not guilty” on any and all charges, having seen no evidence of anything resembling criminal intent.
Still with the chokehold lie? It’s been debunked repeatedly, yet they continue with it.
Fatboy Garner was a heart attack waiting to happen, and brought it on himself by not quietly submitting to arrest.
Criminal intent? Perhaps not. But the cops were criminally negligent. That guy posed no threat....all the cops needed to do was keep talking to try and calm him down- or just leave him be. There were 3 or 4 cops hassling a guy for something as trivial and meaningless as spitting on the sidewalk. If you can spare 3 cops and a seargent for such trivialities, that means there’s no real crime on Staten Island. Transfer them to some of the high-crime areas of brooklyn or the Bronx and let them do real police work Instead of harassing people. That was a disgrace. The seargent on scene should be fired. The situation was clearly mishandled.
Just watched a few minutes of the video again...staring at the part just before the scuffle started."I told you before, leave me alone"..."don't touch me".
The cops either did,or did no,have legal justification to detain him.My understanding is that they did.But even if they didn't...in fact,*particularly* if they didn't...the proper response of that guy would have been to comply with their orders and, while so doing, calmly yet firmly inform them that because of their illegal acts he would own them *and* the City of New York when all the dust had settled.
But he didn't...he resisted.Violently resisted.Six foot six,300 pounds.
Not guilty on all criminal charges.
