During an interview with the Hamburg-based news magazine Stern, editor of the French weekly Charlie Hebdo said he would no longer draw comics of the Muslim prophet Mohammed.
We have drawn Mohammed to defend the principle that one can draw whatever they want. It is a bit strange though: we are expected to exercise a freedom of expression that no one dares to, Sourisseau told Stern.
The editor said that the magazine had done what it set out to do.
Weve done our job. We have defended the right to caricature, Sourisseau said.

No, by backing down you are not defend(ing) the right to caricature (or whatever) but throwing it away. Les Singes de Surrendre. Charlie nest pas Charlie.

No, you fired a shot at the enemy and when the enemy shot back you are running away.

Ulitmate puss-out.
Of course they will continue to do vile Christian characterizations and say they haven’t pussed out because they still do drawing that offend Christians.

Before the attack they defended the right to caricature by doing it.
Not doing it after the attack is surrendering that right.
Violent intimidation works.
Muslims have been practicing it since 622 A.D.

Once again, the French have their backside to anyone that gets in their face!
We had to bail them out in WW1, WW2, and Vietnam.

Remember all the “pen is mightier than the sword” placards those Parisians were holding up? They were wrong.

Even then it works. 9/11 was a huge islamic PR coup. Before almost nobody cared or knew about them. After, they’re a protected class.
