I think he (Obama) thinks he's the Mahdi. He is, after all, the most powerful muslim in the world.

And to answer your question, yes, they do believe they get shot right to their version of paradise even if Persia (”Iran” is not the country’s name, especially since the Bible calls them “Paras” hence “Persia”) gets turned to radioactive glass. But their biggest hope is the return of their false Messiah, the Mahdi, who will somehow miraculously wipe out all the non-Muslims, with Isa (their version of Jesus) at his side, denying all the time that he is the son of Allah.
