In the words of the Starks, winter is comingand it's going to be bad. Using a new model to forecast the sun's activity, scientists predict solar activity will fall by 60% in the 2030s to conditions not seen since a "mini ice age" in 1645.

"Button up your overcoat, When the wind is free, Take good care of yourself, You belong to me! "
I already had a jerk respond with a “Think Progress” article attempting to refute it.
As if one of the largest manufacturer of lies the world has ever known has any credibility.
But, but if we write a check to the gubmint, they’ll fix it, right? Odumbo is my shepherd, I shall not want....

Just what we need. More alarmist liberal bull-hype.
Here’s the thing. If the ice age is accurately predicted...temperatures throughout Europe and North America will be around ten degrees less...winters will likely start by October and last until early April. No matter what anyone says...more heat and electricity will be required....thus meaning higher carbon emissions, period.
We should note, this does NOT come from the global warming crowd, but the sun studies crowd. No one in climate studies...ever studies the sun. Go check the degree programs and the various foundations which are involved in climate studies. Sun studies are a pretty separate group of scientists. I’m guessing the climate guys are sitting there now and wondering how they will play the next card on this business....because you can’t stop the sun, and this mini-ice-age might be around for five decades.
Well, I hope it doesn’t hit before we solve this global warming thing.
The cooling of the sun is quite real and it will result in more comfortable summers in the South. In the North you will be able to speed skate from Milwaukee to Holland Michigan. They will probably turn it into a race.
This is cover for the power hungry warmer mob.
When the predicted warming doesn’t happen for 15 (more) years they now have cover to say that it is “just a temporary lull” but soon the sun starts cranking again boy howdy we will be in trouble... Unless you give us total dictatorial powers.
You have a misconception that these studies are separate with different groups studying different things.
It is all inter-related and studied collectively as Earth System Science including the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, biosphere, and heliosphere
Since the sun is by far the greatest driver of earth's systems and cycles, it is well studied.
Not this one. This is accurate and has been predicted for decades by some researchers studying solar cycles and climate. The specifics have to do with a long term slowing of the sun’s convection currents -which is observable and measurable.

As well as a ‘calming’ of the sun’s plasma from a cyclical reduction of gravitational perturbence the planets impart due to orbital mechanics.
It’s a double whammy for cooling.
Less active plasma = lower solar activity. A calm sun is a cooler sun and a colder earth.
Great opportunity to raise taxes, I think.
It appears that actual science is involved with this model. They have determined the two convection currents operating in the suns inner and outer core are responsible for the calming of the sun. They've tested their model against real world data and it's 95% accurate -unlike the GCMs of the Global Warming faith.
This is actual science and Earth’s temperatures have been correlated quite will with fluctuations in solar flare activity. Not saying that these scientists do not have an agenda, but imagine this...the sun actually has influence over Earth’s temperature??? Don’t tell that to Al Gore...
IN the 2030’s, eh?
by then, I would be in that 10 year window of a man’s age, as spoken about in the Ta’anach.
To the rest of ya’s not there yet .... Have fun in that snow!
