Flooding the Zone: Obama's Plan to Integrate Neighborhoods by Class (Long article)
Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | July 13, 2015 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Folks, there's another story out there that is being dwarfed by everything that I want to touch on and mention. Actually, there's two or three of these kind of stories that are out there that are just being dwarfed. Remember, I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about.

The week that we have Supreme Court decisions on gay marriage and Obamacare, there was a third Supreme Court decision that maybe is worse than those two, and it was about the court granting legality and permission to integrate neighborhoods based on racial quota, not economics or some such thing. It's a horrid decision and it didn't get much play because it was overshadowed by the soap opera characters of gay marriage and Obamacare.

Well, there's another story, interestingly enough it's about suburbia and neighborhoods, and it's something that National Review writer Stanley Kurtz has been warning about in articles and books for years. It is about Obama's war on suburbia and his attempt to basically eliminate suburbia by taking away those aspects of it that make it an enclave away from urban areas or cities. I want to spend some time today getting into this because it's an interesting object lesson in how this could backfire big time on the left, as it has.

There's a test case for this. I know I haven't set the table on this, so just bear with me for a few minutes here. But they tried this in Westchester County, New York. Westchester County, New York, was a left-wing liberal enclave like most in the Northeast are, and the Republicans basically run the place now because voters had a huge backlash to government efforts to change the makeup and structure -- think what busing was, think of it now in terms of housing is what this is.

Take the same principles of forced busing and convert those to housing from urban to suburban areas, from poor areas to rich areas, except you're not busing people to go to school; you're actually moving them to the neighborhoods with so-called affordable housing. It's a little more complicated than that. The point is that it's something Obama has waited until late in his second term to do because this is something that, if people knew it was going on and knew it was intended, it could cause the same kind of backlash that Obama has caused and in fact has, as I say, in Westchester County. That's one thing that I'm gonna get to before the program ends today, if I can.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This neighborhood business, folks, and I think it's a little bit... If not carefully and properly done, it's gonna come off as being in the weeds. It's my challenge here is to make the complex understandable. I guess at the outset, let me give you an idea what we're talking about here.

Do you remember forced busing? Forced busing back in the sixties, seventies, and eighties was designed by liberals to bus students to school very far away from their homes in a "compassionate effort," quote/unquote, to integrate communities and the races. In some cases, young black students would be bused to white neighborhood schools, and white students would be bused to black neighborhood schools. And they were far away in most cases. It was farther away than most parents could take the time to drive their kids to school.

So the busing was the only opportunity. Like most of these things, at the outset there was a mixture of opinion. You had people who were automatically opposed to it because it was folly and silly (which it was), and then you had the good intentioned, the well-intentioned multicultural crowd who thought it was like every other liberal plan. "What a wonderful idea! What beautiful intentions! The melting pot in each and every one of our schools. Yes, it's a beautiful thing."

Except it didn't work, and it didn't work not because people didn't want to be integrated. It didn't work because it was a profound inconvenience, it was expensive, and it was misguided. It was seeking to fix a problem that only existed in your average liberal Democrat mind. What wasn't said at the time (which is still true today) is that urban inner city schools weren't nearly as good as suburban schools, and so it was just not fair that the kids in the urban areas didn't get to go to the good schools.

I live in a wealthy suburb.

When we have folks moving on up to our town they wander around a little. But it doesn’t last long. They like how people are friendly. They like how we snow blow the driveways of the elderly. They like how all of the kids on the football team get jackets,. They like how their kids are hired at the local stores. They like how people say hello.

The last thing Obama wants to do is get more of his “people” in my town.

In three years, they start voting republican.

Every suburban community that enjoys below-average crime and is above average in the percent of intact and financially prosperous families will get to enjoy their own taxpayer financed, solar-powered, energy efficient, multi generational Section 8 Ferguson enclave.

This is just an expansion on the concept of busing children from the inner city to suburban school districts. Now the children’s mothers will be given free housing near the child’s assigned school.

Our wise progressive overlords theorize that the reason for poor people “of color” is due to “white flight.” [see note] and a lack of opportunities to rub shoulders and share the sidewalks with those who have managed to do well in life. Progressives cannot allow anyone to escape full participation in the Utopia they are building. Vote Progressive!

[Note: Since race is really a proxy for ideological tribe, successful black families are no longer “people of color”.]

I’m surrounded by illegal aliens and I am the white minority at the local Fry’s Market.

It can happen anywhere.

Obama wants to dilute the centers of Republican and conservative power and all of the initiatives under this tyrannical POS law will be aimed at us. Not ONE of the liberal plantations like The Hamptons will be affected by this. Not one.

The GOP has the power of the purse.

They have the power to cut off all funds to HUD to stop this war against suburban America in its tracks.

They won’t do it, and we all know it.

Not only that, but this initiative is designed to create pushback from whites, so that racial tensions will flare up and then the Feds can charge whites with hate-crimes.

Since the GOP Congress is about as worthless as a losing lottery ticket, I think people should be calling their state legislators and demand that they refuse to take any funds from HUD.

I remember the busing in the 1970’s that tore apart cities.
This will not happen. No one is going to sit still have and have some low lifes move into their nice neighborhood while the “elite” live in cloud city.

The Obambi can try and mix water and cooking oil all he wants. At some level he knows that Marxism and Capitalism can never coexist. In his feverish, sociopath mind this is maybe what he wants to try to do although I doubt it. I'm fairly sure it's all about control.

Yes, the sociopath never feels that he or she has enough control over their own lives so they by proxy seek control over the lives of others. Since of course they can never have this overall, they are never satisfied. There can never be enough power! They have zero respect for the people that they are able to dominate and vicious hatred for those they cannot.

There you have in a nutshell the "Progressive" mind set.

I see this as a good thing.

Wealthy diehard libs and minorities living in wealthy suburbs enjoy the nice homes, low crime rates, better schools and having the toys and perks that working and rich people enjoy.

Start moving gang bangers in and crime will go up, property values down and the cops will be hesitant to do anything for fear of being called racist.

No one is going to like this, no one except the extreme socialist/communist left. I see a split in the dem party over this. This could give the RINO’s a huge win all the way around, including the president’s office.

The bad news is the RINO’s will let this rule stand for fear of making the MSM angry.

Not just neighborhoods on land ...

Obama’s buddy is the latest CEO of Carnival Cruises. Free cruises for minorities too. We can’t have these ships loaded 99% with white rich folk you know.

So rather than selling the last cabins at the last minute for reduced prices, the fed govt will buy them at almost full price and load the ship with a true-balance of color.

Heard this from an Carnival employee — the staff is more pissed as free-loaders don’t exactly tip.

If the RINOs were smart, (I know, I know) they will GLADLY implement this.

But they will "start" in Martha's Vinyard, The Hamptons, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Pacific Heights, Bellevue, Redmond, and everywhere that liberal rich white people live.

Tell the Press that they are so glad to see this program work, that they want the most fortunate, life's "lottery winners" to feel and see just how great of an idea this is.

Find the highest income/highest percentage liberal zip codes in the country and import as many inner city denizens as they can.

Do it one at a time, and be relentless.

Make sure that Babs Streisand has a crack house on either side.

Then pass a law that there can be no fences in between properties.

Also pass laws that anyone who complains is automatically guilty of "hate crimes".

If his goal is to make us miserable by planting thugs in the middle of peaceful neighborhoods, he might succeed, but if his goal is to turn Republican voting districts into Democrat voting districts it may backfire totally. You can only thin them out so far. Keep on thinning and you will lose former Democrat strongholds that no longer have a population large enough to be a voting district.

Beware of unintended consequences.

They built section 8 apartments near my neighborhood. Some mentally ill guy from there ended up burning down half the shopping mall causing loss of many jobs and tax revenue.

They have the power to cut off all funds to HUD to stop this war against suburban America in its tracks.

You have it backwards, I think.

The ONLY thing that allows HUD to do this is that the suburban localities are hooked on taking money from them. So you don't really have to cut off Federal appropriations to HUD. You have to stop the localities from TAKING THEM.

THEN what you do is get the big-spending Republicans to make up the funding through other means and mechanisms. Which as we all know they'll be happy to do.

As Conservatives have shown in the last decade or so, taking over and establishing dominance at the local and states level is MUCH EASIER than at the Federal level. We really don't need to do squat at the Federal level to stop this in its tracks - we can do it all from the local level.
