why? because we have a budding sovereignty insurgency , which is getting more and more lawless and confrontational by the day , which is coming to the attention of both China AND Russia , as a supportable 5thh column movement with a U.S. State , to whom arms may begin to flow .
The Stryker combat vehicle would be / could be the perfect platform for confronting a growing local insurgency . They proved themselves very effective in Iraq . Now they are being sent away .
This Hawaii sovereignty insurgency is no joke . Given the means , they could get brutal over night . NO ONE is confronting them . Soon they will be at the gates of the PTA training area and seeking to enter and occupy an important military base and interrupt its operations . Mark my words .

I have a son who is retired officer from the Air Force. He was stationed in Hawaii for a good reason. He is a fuels expert. I visited there and he took me inside a mountain where all fuel for pacific operations is stored. There are caverns upon caverns dug out in there going down so far you can’t see the bottom. Those islands must be protected for that reason alone.
I was on the air base and saw the many pits on the outside of the buildings where Japanese bullets hit those buildings. If you saw that, you would protect those islands just because of those pits. And, going on the USS Arizona Memorial would surely convince anyone to guard those islands - never again should that happen.
Grant Hawaii independence and restore their monarchy.
