The House has voted to ban the display of Confederate flags at historic federal cemeteries in the deep South.
The low-profile move came Tuesday evening after a brief debate on a measure funding the National Park Service, which maintains 14 national cemeteries, most of which contain graves of Civil War soldiers.
The proposal by Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., added language to block the Park Service from allowing private groups to decorate the graves of Southern soldiers with Confederate flags in states that commemorate Confederate Memorial Day. The cemeteries affected are the Andersonville and Vicksburg cemeteries in Georgia and Mississippi.
“The American Civil War was fought, in Abraham Lincoln’s words, to ‘save the last best hope of Earth,'” Huffman said in a debate in which he was the only speaker. “We can honor that history without celebrating the Confederate flag and all of the dreadful things that it symbolizes.”

This kind of vote shows about as much humanity as ISIS destroying British and German grave sites in Libya.
Legal doesn’t matter anymore, we have illegal executive orders, illegal immigrants, illegal sanctuary cities, DOJ not enforcing laws they don’t want to, IRS selective enforcement. We have become a third world nation.
Not sure about flags. Every year a delegation of German officer from their Embassy in DC come down to Tidewater area of VA and lay wreaths on the graves of German U-boat sailors that are buried in the National Cemeteries at Portsmouth and Hampton
If they are Veterans of the United States, then it appropriate that the flag of the United States mark their graves.

This leaves me speechless, so since some in the country did not like the Korean and Viet Nam war we should take the flags off their graves also?
take it one step further. We defeated Japan in WW2. Italy. Germany. Are we going to forbid them flying their flags too? This gets into the theater of absurdity if not something darker quite quickly.
Because America is becoming a disgrace. The communists are winning the culture war and those opposing the communists are spineless and letting them steamroll the nation.
The Southern Reps are running away in full surrender. Nobody opposes PC anymore once it takes hold. This is PC at its finest and most destructive.
The Confederate flag is the new “N” word.
You might get a debate on the nazi flag, but I don’t disagree with your premise.
