Trump Blasts Jeb Bush On Common Core: ‘He’s In Favor of Washington Educating Your Children’
Breitbart ^ | 7/8/15 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 07/08/2015 1:43:44 PM PDT by Nachum

Donald Trump blasted fellow presidential hopeful Jeb Bush on Fox News Channel’s On the Record for his avid promotion of the Common Core education initiative as well as his stance on amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“I watched Jeb Bush…I think it’s pathetic what’s going on, his stance on Common Core,” Trump said. “He’s in favor of Washington educating your children. His weak stance on immigration – he said it’s an act of love. I mean what kind of stuff is that? It’s baby stuff.”

Trump said, “I will say that I love the Republican Party [but] I think they’re making tremendous mistakes. I think they’re far too weak on immigration. I think they’re weak on a lot of things.”

Bush is the founder of the pro-Common Core Foundation for Excellence in Education (FEE).

He has joined with former president of the Fordham Institute Chester Finn and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Conservatives for Higher Standards, a group that promotes the Common Core standards. Among the organization’s supporters have been Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) 24% , chairman of the Senate committee that oversees education, former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R); former U.S. Secretary of Education Bill Bennett; Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad (R); Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam (R); former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R); and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez (R).

This would apply of also to the dysfunctional GOP congress...

"I think they’re weak on a lot of things."

And there you have it. When you don't "own" the media, and in fact are barely tolerated by them, your path to power is easily seen as the one of least offense.

You must have a set of policies that you are FOR, or you stand for nothing except being a token opposition party whose members can grow rich by participating in government.

Eradication of Common Core is a winning issue.

CC is a diabolical creation by Bill Gates and his NWO cronies to dumb down the children, indoctrinate them so as to accept all that is un-Christian, and embrace collectivism instead of individualism.

In short, so they’ll be ripe for the picking when the NWO is ready to make it’s debut.

DT will get a lot of mileage out of rejecting Common Core.

Trump is pretty crafty dude. Bringing up Immigration and common core, 2 critical issues in just conversational sounds bites. I am liking it.

Trump’s point is basically correct but Washington doesn’t really want to educate our children; it wants to indoctrinate them.

Trump is bold and it benefits him to distance himself as far as possible from the milquetoast GOP. He has positions; they on the other hand stand for nothing.

Trump is leading. He’s the only leader in the field, beside Cruz. Cruz is cagey on H1-B’s.

Agree. A leader gets out front on issues and values action over words.

Agree.

Now, if he goes after 0blama’s new rulings to racially integrate suburban neighborhoods with Section 8 housing (paid for by you and I), Trump will have hit the Trifecta!

Could anyone ask Trump a question about Common Core? I wonder if he knows anything about it other than the words “common” and “core.”

Why do I jest? From what I can tell, Trump has never said anything about Common Core, except how bad it is that Jeb is before it. I think Trump should be asked why it is bad? See is he knows anything about it, or he “just heard it’s something conservatives talk about.”
