With Nevada Rep. Joe Heck declaring his intention to run for the soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat once Harry Reid retires, the Republican Party finally feels like theyve got a candidate in the Silver state who can fill that position.
That is, however, if he can win Nevadas crucial Latino vote.
Heck a House member, physician and brigadier general in the Army Reserve has been touted by the GOP as a Latino-friendly candidate who has won three Las Vegas-area congressional elections thanks in large part to his moderate tone toward immigration reform. During the Senate race, observers say that Heck will have to distance himself from some of the more hardline Republican presidential candidates if he hopes to top the presumptive Democratic challenger, Catherine Cortez Masto.

He said children of unauthorized immigrants deserve a chance to stay in the U.S. They're often referred to as "Dreamers" after the long-delayed federal DREAM Act that would create a path to citizenship for some immigrant U.S. high school graduates.
"Let's take care of the Dreamers, those children that came to this country through no fault of their own, that know no other nation but America," he said.

"Nominate a moderate-liberal republican at all cost! If he wins, that's great, he can help us pass our liberal legislation. If he loses, we prevented a conservative from getting into the Senate, for a democrat is preferable to a conservative (and the democrat will help us pass our liberal legislation)."
The heck with Heck.
He sounds like another RINO-squish, Chamber of Amnesty puppet.
Nobody gives a damn about taxpayers anymore.
Including the shrinking taxpayers themselves
What is his position on other subjects?
There are two separate issues here. Trump is right. The Mexican government is our enemy. They are complicit in violating our borders and dumping criminals here. That is an act of war. The borders need to be sealed. Illegal aliens need to be deported.
On the other hand, illegals who are not criminals and living here, who hold jobs are a separate issue. If they have kids who were raised here, speak English and consider themselves Americans, is it fair to deport them to a country they don’t know or understand?
It’s not there fault they are here. Blame Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and Obama, especially the last two. Blame companies who knowingly hire these people. Blame the politicians in Washington and “sanctuary cities”. Blame the unAmerican pressure groups like LA Raza. Blame post-Christian churches who aid and abet illegal aliens.
The animal who killed that lady in San Francisco should have been sent to prison or deported or both long ago. The Politicians and people of San Francisco who support the criminals sanctuary cities are also culpable.
Odd that NV once had a good senator named “Hecht”. I don’t think that any good ones since.
The large majority do "wink" at crime. There "compassion" is with the perpetrator. Where is George Christopher when we need him? (He had already compromised fifty years ago).

He is, and I’ve met him a few times. He is still a lot better than Cortez Mastos, Harry reid’s protege and daughter of a corrupt Dem.
But, that said, Heck is not the worst we could do. So fall in line on this one and drag his carcass over the finish line.
That’s exactly right. It is why we get reuns like Tommy Thompson in WI, and Dan Coats in IN. It’s all about preventing conservatives from getting into office. They will go all out to ensure the borders remain open and the laws unenforced.
See Mississippi.

No, blame the parents who brought them. Let the parents take them home with them when they go back to their own country. Do you think we should let the children of bank robbers keep the money?
You are falling for the propaganda.
