I don't know the reason that the murder of Ms Steinle was extensively covered. They'd usually go out of their way to sweep it under the rug.

Best solution is to treat all Black on White and White on Black crimes as hate crimes until shown otherwise. That would simplify it. Further, since police cannot protect people in California, they would rescind their laws infringing upon the 2nd amendment and allow US citizens to defend themselves.

Police are looking into a motive - Now here's a 30 year old Santa Cruz, CA transplant to L.A., working two jobs at gastropubs, walking down the street with her boyfriend in a relatively safe neighborhood (mostly white and latino) at 10PM on a Sunday night - a black gets out of a car and just executes her and drives away. I don't see drugs or organized crime in this story at all. The victim was apparently just taking a stroll. I think she was just the first white girl the killer came across this night

Eighty percent, from less than 13 percent of the population. In other words, blacks committed interracial violent crime at a rate 27 times that of non-blacks.

They are an incredibly violent people.
