I'll say it. Jimmy may be registered as a member of the Baptist church but he is NOT born again.

Go ahead, flame away.

I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that's just my own personal belief
In other words, based on nothing but his own opinion, not on scripture.

Matthew 7:21”Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22”Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23”And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

No surprise here. The old liberals always "evolve" so that they toe the current party line, now matter how unheard of the positions would have been during their salad days.

Would a 133 year old FDR be rolling his wheelchair at the front of a "gay pride" parade? From the way old liberals have always acted . . . yes.

Don't count on any old liberals from way back when to deviate from what liberalism is today.

Carter actually left his original church denomination, 15 years ago.

Jimmy Carter Leaves Southern Baptists
ABC Oct. 20, 2000
Former President Carter, a longtime Sunday school teacher, is walking away from the Southern Baptists because of the church’s stance on equality for women.

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published today, Carter says Southern Baptist leaders reading the Bible out of context led to the adoption of increasingly “rigid” views.

“I’m familiar with the verses they have quoted about wives being subjugated to their husbands,” he told the paper. “In my opinion, this is a distortion of the meaning of Scripture. … I personally feel the Bible says all people are equal in the eyes of God. I personally feel that women should play an absolutely equal role in service of Christ in the church.”

Southern Baptists are the United States’ largest Protestant denomination, with 15.9 million members.

Never mind that the Lord appeared to Abraham to assess Sodom and Gomorrah. Must have been destroyed because they couldn’t properly prepare pizzas, huh, Jimmy?

“... Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere”

See what he did here? Sexual perversion equals love.

CONSIDER A DAILY CHANGE JAR TO OPERATE FR

Click The Pic

You won't even miss the 25 or 50 cents, but at the end of the month
you will have at least $5 to donate so FR can operate smoothly,
or you will moan and grown and go into withdrawal
when it is down, because of broken parts,
or over loaded servers during crisis events.

Jim-mah left the Southern Baptists after they required seminary professors to sign a statement of fundamental theology. FR used to have links to his snarky letter of resignation.

He is a cultural [c]hristian. His fruits confirms this.

This is what I just love about so called religious people who think they know what Jesus would think or do. I hear that a lot. How do they know? You can just make stuff up and say that’s what Jesus would have wanted.

I believe Jesus thinks I should win the lottery, but so far, nada. Everyone could make up stuff and attribute it to Jesus. Why not?
