That may very well be. And I probably won’t do that....

That said, I don’t think the questions were particularly difficult. Maybe the interviewer thought he was being cunning as a snake, but he wasn’t that intimidating....you or I could have done pretty well, also. Cruz had a field day.

OK, I watched it.

When I am not working, I watch the full gamut of Sunday news shows -Meet the Press, Face the Nation and Fox News with Chris Wallace.

This is the first time that I have seen Chuck Todd INTIMIDATED !

Both Cruz & Todd, appear to be about the same age, yet, I was under the impression that Todd, is the local high school reporter sent out to interview a famous and seasoned politician.

As has been said on this forum by others, Cruz explains things in such a way that any idiot can understand him.

Todd was schooled....

He did OK on the interview, but I think a lot of people will be underwhelmed on his answer on immigration. It was a very polished, political, kind of answer.

Why is it so hard to say "we need to return persons here illegally to their home nations as quickly as we can".

Cruz always wants to have his cake and eat it to.

Which explains how Trump has passed him in the polls in only a few weeks.

National Polls: Trump now in 7th at 6.5%, Cruz fallen to 8th at 4.0%

New Hampshire: Trump in 3rd at 10%, Cruz in 9th place at 4.2%, behind Carly Fiorina.

Cruz is doing a bit better in Iowa: 6.0% gets him 8th place there, to Trump's 8.3% 7th.

In South Carolina Cruz is polling ahead of Trump: Cruz in 4th at 8.3% (behind favorite son Linsey at 11% in 3rd place.) Trump has a meager 2% in SC, and 10th place. This hasn't changed on the newer polls either.
