Considering what the reporters were covering, I’d say it’s not just a common criminal. San Francisco is not a nice place if you challenge the political system. There are regular people there that would perform random acts of violence against you if you express a point of view that is not liberal and far fetched. They honestly think Conservatives are coming to get them in San Francisco and Conservatives must be stopped at all costs, even by force. They make preppers look mild and tame.
