What mad fools! They are setting the stage for a world government that will oppress man like no other government before. Think of all the modern technologies that will be used to monitor and control man like never before! It will be like 1984 on steroids.

Exempting all politicos and their cronies from the solution, but that goes without saying.

Don’t know where I heard it, probably Mark Steyn, “0bama has managed to close the gap between the poor and the truly destitute.”

The poor can consume and destroy far, far more than all the wealth of the world. It may be unpopular to say, but most poor people are poor because of the poor choices they make. I could give a poor person an expensive car, build them a palace, etc., and those things would most likely be ruined in short order. People simply don’t care about things they don’t earn.

This does not mean there aren’t exceptions. There are people who are poor due to illnesses or accidents beyond their control. Private charity should try to help those folks. In some cases, the help will be necessary for a lifetime. I’m not necessarily opposed to government programs to take care of the truly disabled, but government is a very poor replacement for private charity.

We know these things to be true. We all see it everyday in our private lives, but for some strange reason, too many people somehow think government can fix human nature and the real world problems that arise from it.

Democrats have perpetuated poverty in the US for the primary purpose of winning elections. For democrats to participate in a world wide effort means they have to change 180 degrees on their policies of keeping the poor poor in the US and other places. It will also mean the Democrats will have to stop funding terrorists who are creating poverty all over the Middle East. I just don’t see how Obama and the Democrats can do anything here as they have caused the greatest refugee crisis of the last 40 years with their arming of terrorists in Libya, Syria and Yemen.

tomorrow they can go back to starving...
