I wouldn’t say there is nothing to worry about yet. For worse, campaigns seem to take about 18 months now, or so.
“Hes not stealing anyones votes, hes earning them.”
Very good comment, ff2. He is earning the votes of citizens all across this nation. He speaks to the corrupt DC cesspit as well. He is the only one who can change the whole shebang in DC. OUT with the corrupt political class whose only interest is how much a lobbyist will pay them to keep their gravy train rolling. Dam traitors!
You rock, Donald. Keep it up!
If The Donald gets the Republican nomination he is going to steal millions of liberal votes from the Democrats. Millions of middle of the roaders. How? By being anti-open borders and pledging to build a fence. Also his anti-free trade policies.
Look for more from Trump that will pull in the liberals. We have millions of Americans who want someone who pulls no punches, who is a plain talker, who is forthright, who is not from inside the Beltway. Hillary is the exact opposite of Trump on all of these and if she and her stooges try to slime The Donald he will dish it back ten times worse. He will pound her on the corrupt Clinton Family slush fund. He will rip apart the financials of it, leaving these Clinton frauds standing butt naked as in The Emperor has no clothes.
At least, Donald Trump is not a Karl Rove puppet. Go, Donald!
I'm thinking again that Hillary may not be the dem nominee. Sanders is surging although obviously long way to go. If Hillary does get it, she won't have much enthusiasm among the left. I think Sanders is doing so much better because he vocalizes what he believes and although it may be even too left for many libs, at least they know where he stands. He's not dishonest like Hillary. Left and right are both getting tired of the deceit that reigns in the den of initquity (DC).
I don't think he is, if you include the number of Americans who are killed by drunk or otherwise incapable drivers who are illegal aliens. A recent case was a girl walking with her father who was killed by an illegal alien who had already been deported TEN times. This death made national news, but I am sure that there are many cases that we never hear about - thanks to the Dems willing accomplices in the media.
I am somewhat ambivalent to Trump's candidacy. I do not think that he could win the nomination, but the ideas that he is forcing into the public discourse are very important to America. My fear is that the negative publicity he is getting from the media will cause the public to dismiss his ideas when they are actually what the rest of the Republicans should be talking about!
He’s “stealing” undecideds and indies, including Demwit-leaners. Thanks South40.

Trump is not stealing any votes. He is gaining broad support because he is speaking the truth, something the other GOP candidates are mostly afraid to do.
Trump is hurting Hillary and he will destroy her and her socialist message in an election.
Trump is also tearing the Democrats pitchmen (the media) to shreds, he is waking some of the cattle up who have been lulled by the Marxist Media for decades.
If Trump just keeps banging the drum on immigration and jobs he has a very good chance.
Trump is taking votes from both Rubio and Walker and Bush is starting to pull away at 19%. It looks like Trump is actually HELPING Bush. That is why I don’t want Trump in the race- he is stealing the anti-Bush vote and he is not a viable General Election nominee.
The CPUSA did so well with Obama they are now running the openly marxist Sanders, figure lightning might strike twice.
How about: Illegal Mexicans are stealing our jobs, identities, welfare, and medical care while waving Mexican flags and demonstrating openly to assert their right to invade our country and break our laws. What's so incoherent and irrational about that?
If I can say it, any two-bit politician can too. But they won't, they might offend the Mexican voters. Dammit, these foreigners can't legally vote but citizens sure can. But the naysayers tell us the illegals have relatives and friends who support them and as citizens can vote. Yes and this is what we need to overcome in the next election. The sensitive approach and fear of offending someone is not working and a more direct approach is needed.
While politicians are trying to decide which approach to take, LIV (low information voters) are beginning to wise up and see their 'share of the pie' is being compromised by the illegals. And if 'black lives' really matter, some of them will wise up too because the plantation is becoming more crowded each day. Trump and Cruz are giving it to them and us straight on.
Trump is a businessman who knows we are losing our businesses and jobs to third world nations like Mexico. He's trying NOT to talk like a businessman. Instead he's trying to talk to the LIV in their terms about the redistribution of our wealth to Mexico and other countries that is being caused by illegal immigration. They find his direct approach 'offensive' as they are too stupid to know they are losing points in this game and the Mexicans are scoring big-time.
Trump being a businessman wants to use his business expertise to set budgets and manage debt and expenses to achieve a profit for his shareholders, a talent our politicians sorely lack. He understands finances and business law (contracts) as his opponents know only too well. He knows how to work a winning 'deal' for his business. I don't think it will be 'game over' for him until he chooses to drop out or loses all support.
Cruz is a politician who knows the Constitution and rule of law. He's trying to tell us how the legislative branch is being neutered by executive privilege and judges who legislate from the bench. He wants to return the balance of power we once had between the branches of government. He wants to see change implemented by the legislative and Constitutional amendment process, not by the dictates of a few government elites.
Cruz wants to see the size of the federal government reduced. He wants to see the federal government held accountable for what the Constitution deems and nothing more. Leaving the rest of the power to the states to decide which laws apply to them. He wants to see minimal intervention by government into our personal lives. He wants to lead.
The same truths become apparent as more people from all walks of life are being affected by the economic and social downturn of this nation. They are starting to notice America has changed, not for the better, but for the worse. Trump and Cruz are not just the messengers of bad news, they are offering 'good news'. They are presenting real solutions to these issues which are affecting our lives. But will anybody be listening as we go into the next elections? As the LIV wises up and the partisan politicians are replaced by people willing to compromise (deal), maybe we can turn this nation around with the right leadership.
Stealing? Who is it that already “owns” voters? I assure you no one owns me.
In the summer of 2012, my sweetie and me were in Ohio for a visit to Put In Bay and then to Cleveland. We were staying in nearby Port Clinton.
We met two 40-ish white guys with older kids. One owned a struggling local restaurant and the other staffed a local maritime operation. Both men absolutely hated Obama with a passion, and wouldn’t vote for him if he were the only one on the ballot. But despite my repeated attempts to make them understand if they didn’t vote for Mitt, that Obama would win again, I could not convince them. We went back to that restaurant 3 days in a row to talk to those folks. And it was: no dice. Romney didn’t connect with them, no matter how many drinks were consumed. And God knows, we tried.
I can almost picture those two guys, right now, watching Trump on TV and saying “YES !!!” Those are the voters that are being courted...and won over. The industrial, rust-belt state, lunch bucket guys who have been forgotten. Regardless of race, age, etc.
Trump will take ALL of the blue collar, working class Democrats, because they have had enough. Trust me.
How is Trump's support for amnesty any different?
"...people here illegally should have "a road to legal status" [AMNESTY] if they work hard and contribute to the country." ~Donald Trump
Does Peter Grier the Christian Science Monitor’s Washington editor
have an insight on vote stealing? Maybe he can get the high sheriff to
arrest a few of those vote stealers....
“Illegal Mexicans are stealing our jobs, identities, welfare, and medical care while waving Mexican flags and demonstrating openly to assert their right to invade our country and break our laws.”
Yep! That sums it up pretty well.
The politicos should definitely not underestimate Trump (actually, they should because I want them humiliated and tossed out of office!). I’ve been writing here for years that there’s a huge opportunity for a populist candidate to arise. I though maybe Palin could be that person, but she didn’t take it.
There are many millions of disaffected voters in both parties. I’m one of them, and there are many issues, like immigration, where voters have no where to go. The Republicans are owned by the Chamber of Commerce and the Democrats want the illegal votes. Joe six pack isn’t represented in America anymore.
Well, that sounds like it might be good for the conservative cause because in the past, those kinds of voters in the Republican primaries, especially "open" primaries, generally voted for RINO establishment candidates. So Trump may be taking away votes that in the last two cycles would have gone to McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012.
But he is taking the conversation up a few notches :)
