With the fascist left on a fascist rampage, why not add a little defiance to your 4th of July by watching five patriotic movies that piss off The Man. The Man of course being the dominant Left-wing political culture that is currently banning The Dukes of Hazzard and hoping to get its tyrannical hands on Gone With the Wind.
The Green Berets (1968)
Because he loved America and freedom and didnt want to see either lose a vitally important war, John Wayne spent a lot of his movie star capital directing and starring in The Green Berets for Warner Brothers. Critics blistered him in ways unseen until Mel Gibson dared bring the Gospels to life in The Passion of the Christ. Audiences, however, showed up in droves, and were treated to a marginal but entertaining movie, and most importantly, a prophetic one.
In the film, Wayne predicts that if the Left wins and America abandons Vietnam, other countries will fall to communist tyranny, and our Vietnamese allies will be murdered and tortured.
And that is exactly what happened.
John Wayne was 100% correct, he had their number, and that makes the Left angrier than anything.
BONUS: Watch racist George Takei sell his left-wing soul for a small role in a right-wing propaganda film.

Nice observations.
Also, Zero Dark Thirty, which had so many pertinent messages in it for the war on terrorists.
I haven't seen many of the others mentioned, but these two are outstanding.
“Yes! The Patriot and Red Dawn (the original one with Patrick Swayze) are pretty much my two favorite movies of all time.”
I have watched The Patriot over and over and over and would watch it again over and over and over.
And I have watched “Schindlers List” over and over and over.
Wow, what an opportunity!
You have a right to be proud of your son. I only wish he had a better Commander in Chief.
I was able to take my son, when he was about 14, to hear & meet Lech Walesa and to shake his hand. There is something special about being able to meet and thank those who have risked everything to do the right thing.
Another great one.
“John Wayne was 100% correct, he had their number, and that makes the Left angrier than anything.”
John Wayne’s script writers were just parroting what was common knowledge at the time. John Wayne was just reciting lines; he predicted nothing.
I loaned my copy to a retired Ranger/SF guy who had been there in the early days and he said it was “crap.” He might have been critiquing it on a technical point though, but never trust anything that comes out of Hollywood for technical or historical accuracy.
“Memphis Belle” the real one shot during WW II not the b s Hollywood one. That will make your hair stand on end. “These guys came home on their luck”
I met John Wayne twice. He was exactly the same person off screen that he was on screen.
Interesting perspective. I’ll watch the movie again (I’ve got it on DVD) with this in mind.
That's a very good one.
My favorite is AMC's TURN: Washington's Spies, about the real-life Culper spy ring. The first season was good, but the second season was fantastic. And the actor portraying George Washington is inspired casting.
