Maines Paul LePage became the first sitting governor to endorse a candidate in the 2016 GOP nomination race, throwing his support behind Christie Christies fledgling bid for president.
Mr. LePage said that the New Jersey governor has been an inspiration to him over his career and said Mr. Christie, as the head of the Republican Governors Association, played an instrumental role in helping him win re-election last year.

LePage refused to criticize Christie for accepting Obamacares huge Medicaid expansion, a program LePage has derided as welfare expansion and that he repeatedly vetoed when the Maine Legislature sent it to his desk.
That’s what makes it surprising that HE would endorse CC of all people.
I’m now convinced aliens are real and this is all some mind screw precluding a takeover. They intend to gaslight the planet with whiplash.
LePage has been friends with Christie for a long time.
Listen to any time LePage has been on Howie Carr and he always touted Christie.
LePage also needs donors for his run against Senator Angus drag-indie King in 2018.
Fat boy sent LaPage a ton of money.
Oh that’ll help. Such a waste of money to see some of these people get into the race.
Terrible endorsement from a usually sensible Governor.
Christie was a contributor for a lot of Republican candidates. Now he is calling in his political chips. He has cash to spare and money buys friends. He is trying to re-invent himself as a Conservative for the benefit of the primaries. You can’t call him a RINO or a conservative because those terms presuppose a political ideology. Christie’s political ideology is only Christie and how to promote himself. More than any of the other candidates, he craves power for power’s sake.
Maple syrup derangement syndrome. Mr. Christie needs a full vacation from all political ventures.
