The Transportation Security Administration is getting an earful from angry Americans after the agencys spokeswoman tweeted a photo of the contents of a travelers suitcase $75,000 in cash for all the world to see on Tuesday.
If you had $75,000, is this how youd transport it? Just asking! TSA @ RIC spotted this travelers preferred method, tweeted Lisa Farbstein, TSA spokeswoman at headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
The public reaction was fierce and included some of the following comments:
So taxpayers are paying you to tweet photos of their luggage?

Fantastic. Give someone a chance to rob said traveler. Gee, its a total mystery why so many people distrust TSA and think you overstep boundaries. Thanks for the pic. Thieves at the next airport appreciate the info. Were you asked to publicly post this persons private property to social media or did you decide to post on your own?

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
TSA: Because people who aren’t even qualified to flip burgers at McDonald’s have to work somewhere!
Bush’s Fault. Really.
Was that a crime? And would you trust the USPS to deliver?
When I bought my airplane in 1980, I took $68,000 in cash to pay the balance so I coud fly it home.
Just got on an aiplane with the cash in a briefcase, of course they hadn't invented TSA yet.
because we have NO LEADERS in this once proud nation, we get imbeciles and arrogant elitist who get away with all this crap.....
It will be comedy hit.
$75,000??? When I checked it there was $175,000.00 ... and I have the receipts to prove it!!!
Oh wait... I don’t think using a compromised publicly accessed network for transmitting personal info/data is done. All that is transmitted over more secured systems. Or so they tell us.
I piled on! (Her Twitter thread)
Or was that sarcasm? I never know anymore. If sarcasm, that was funny.
I always try to pass a good fart when they pat me down.
I think I misread your post. My humble apology.
This may explain why they failed 90 % of their test bomb runs, they only look for cash.
TSA is too busy protecting us from evil doers who want to move cash while circumventing the friendly “Know Your Customer” provisions of the Consumer Protection laws. This consumer might have been unprotected if the nice government didn’t track the transaction at all times.
When they handle you groan and go “Daddy like!” real loud....
Lisa Fubarstein, is that you?
Remember when you could get on a plane without a stranger touching your privates? Remember when you could get on a plane without being suspected of a crime? The TSA is a monster. We seem more afraid of the muzzies than they of us. Sad.
