I daresay this is correct. Some of those may have part-time jobs.
Welcome to The Great Depression part II.
Brought to you by Hope. Change. And other lies.
Well Duh! Figures don’t lie, but liars figure!
I knew the real numbers were bad, but I didn’t imagine they were this awful. In fact, I still hope they aren’t true. But there is no doubt that the Department of Labor has become hopelessly politicized.
I work hard. I don’t feel like I’m getting ahead, and I’ve pretty much lost all hope of a better future. And I feel like a TREMENDOUS sucker for that whole “working hard” part. It just seems ... pointless.
Everything coming from this administration is one huge lie. It’s only agenda is the completely and utter destruction of the USA, both externally and internally. Just imagine the unemployment rate in the inner cities right now as the regime assists millions of foreign invaders to move in, especially after last summer when they stormed the borders and he flew them all over the country.. I remember the first few years of the regime they said the unemployment rate for blacks in New York city was 50%. Today I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 60 to 70%. And they dare call Donald Trump a racist.
No matter what it is, the American people are satisfied.
Hard workers are often the first to be sent packing from the company. I don’t know why, but it may have to do with customer popularity.
Is this the David Stockman that quarreled with Reagan or another one?
We know it is at least 20-22% without counting illegals or others. Hell, last I heard 48-49% were on Welfare.
42.9? I think Stockman is making fun of us. The current number generously understates the reality, but if it was 42.9% things would be much worse. Double the Great Depression?
Bump
I’ve been saying 40% for a long time. Any number that comes from Washington is fake.
I kinda had to smile at this part of your comment. It's kinda like saying you have no doubt that the Department of Education extablished by Jimmah Carter has become hopelessly politicized. IMO, about half the Cabinet departments are complete such outgrowths of special interests feathering their nests!
I heard most of this on Rush this morning.
It sounds like a good way to calculate the real number.
The man is correct about the Keynesian econ .
It IS much worse. We have thousands of people living on the streets here in tents. In the old days they used to be called “Hoovervilles,” and photographers would take pictures that would end up in Life Magazine.
Now under Obama, everyone pretends the Greatest Depression is not going on. No talks about the every-growing Obamavillles all throughout our city.
I work hard, too. Just not at things that produce taxable income. Of course, with The Fed continuing to pump $85 Billion a month into the economy 0bama don’t care. It has to stop.
Working hard is the way to go as long as the right people are in office. Right now though, we have hardcore enemies of the United states running things so EVERYTHING is getting effed up as expected. What we need is a rebellion or a Washington outsider who will obliterate these punks, just take the trash out from Washington, boot out the foreign invaders, get the special interests and the lobbyists the F out, prosecute those who have committed treason, and I really think Trump is the guy to do it. Extreme problems require extreme measures. This guy is beholden to nobody and is fed up with what is going on like everyone else.
He is THE very one. He didn’t like it that Reagan was so anti-tax and never could get the big picture that Reagan spent heavily on defense to swamp the USSR so to keep us from having to “duck and cover” and kiss our differentials good bye from a nuclear attack!!!
