Nicky Morgan is taking the fight against radicalisation into the classroom. On the Today programme, the Education Secretary outlined what her department is doing to support schools in tackling, what she called, this very real threat. The DfE will release new guidance for teachers today, offering examples and support in how they might look for young people who are risk at radicalisation perhaps changes of behaviour or things they might say. But Morgan admitted there is a unclear line between what constitutes a healthy debate and upholding British values:
Schools should be a safe space for young people to explore all sorts of ideas, but we have since last year been very clear that schools should also be teaching British values, those are the things we all hold dear. If we dont talk about them, then the vacuum gets filled.
Morgan did offer one example of where this new guidance might inform a teachers approach. She pointed out that ISIL is extremely intolerant of homosexuality and so comments from a pupil supporting this position could be a cause for concern:
It could trigger a thought. It would very much depend on the context on which it would be discussed. Teachers would discuss, as they do already about children they are concerned who are at risk at perhaps being drawn into a gang or being exploited or being neglected at home.
If teachers are concerned by the behaviour of a student, the DfE is advising them to raise it with department heads immediately or the head of the school. If it is classified as an emergency, Morgan said it could even be raised with the police although she was quick to point out that someone who says I dont like gay people isnt going to be reported to the police.
Although this might sound a little wishy washy, it is an important part of the governments Prevent strategy to tackle radicalisation at a grassroots level. The threat from a home-grown terror attack is one the security services have been consistently worried about and schools in particular remain an area of concern.
This new guidance isnt a specific response to what has happened in the last month but it has particular resonance in the light of recent events. All areas of the government will be under growing pressure from No.10 to show they are doing everything necessary in the fight against extremism.
The real answer is that sex should never be mentioned in math, science (except for biology), English, history, PE, foreign language, or shop classes. Homosexuality only belongs in psychology classes - along with other mental illnesses.
And this is with a “conservative” government...
Sodomy is not a British value, or any sort of value except an immoral one.
Indications of deviant behaviors in schools signals staff needs to be investigated for pedo.
Let me translate this for you.
radicalization - any idea expressed that contravenes or questions the Leftist viewpoint. e.g. Marriage is only between a man and a woman or no civilization of note has ever permitted same sex marriage.
very real threat - the revolution is in its infancy. Alternative sources of information still exist. There is still at least two generations of people with enough knowledge to point out how crazy we are and until they die off they are a ‘very real threat’.
teachers - paid propagandists who will get a tidy pension for destroying your child’s mind.
healthy debate - love, kindness and tolerance (us) v. hate (them)
‘British values- values that most Britons wouldn’t recognize as values just a generation ago.
Schools - indoctrination camps
safe space - only politically correct ideas
trigger a thought - psychological rationalization that allows intolerant ideas to be battered, assaulted and crushed even to the point of physical harm.
the context - thought policing
home - a place where parents cause a lot of trouble for us. It must be undermined and destroyed over time. The state is our father/mother and home.
someone who says I dont like gay people isnt going to be reported to the police - that is they will be reported to the police immediately.
The government of Great Britain may be a sign of extremism. Sorry you Brits have lost your freedom of speech.
The Constitution isn’t a piece of paper, it’s a contract. It’s a contract between the States and the people as one party, and the federal government as the other. But since words don’t mean anything in jurisprudence anymore, I guess the terms of the contract don’t mean anything.
‘British values’ are Bolshevik values, which are worse than what Anjem Choudary esposes
So let me get this straight.....
Nowadays, being counter-homo is a sign of problems.
But no longer is it a sign of trouble to seem homosexual.
Promotion of homosexuality in schools may be a sign they want to recruit and molest your children.
80% of homosexuals were molested as children.
There is no gay gene.
Diversity and tolerance for all!
We don’t allow Bigotry,
We don’t allow Hate,
NORMAL is the only thing we can’t tolerate!
Going by what I have read today, I am glad most Brits think Morgan is as big an idiot as I do. Even the liberals I read thought this was just too much.
