The REAL meaning of Jesus’ words: “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” By that, I mean that we are to discern sin and evil and call by its name, and that we should speak the Biblical truth of the evil of this decision, but we should do so out of love for the sinner. That’s the love that is almost always called “bigotry”.

Jesus was speaking out against a lynch mob who had no right to “judge” anyone. Plus I have always suspected that many of the men in the mob were customers of the prostitute. Think about it, it takes two to tango so to speak.

God doesn’t separate the sin the sinner without their repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ. We should reprove and admonish but have no fellowship.

I distinctively recall my Ancient Philosophy professor lecturing the class bringing up the whole, "but who am I to judge" cop-out statement. She was pretty firm that as living organisms born with free will, it is an obligation that for our own survival we constantly assess our changing environment and make rationalized judgements.
