One of the reasons that Senator Cruz changed his vote was that the House Bill did not include the Cruz or Sessions language on immigration.

Don’t be surprised if Sessions does endorse Cruz. Cruz and Sessions are in agreement on most every issue. Sessions will never support Trump, Rubio, Bush or Paul. If Sessions is your litmus test, you will find that he and Cruz are good friends and colleagues.

I think an endorsement by Sessions would say a lot. Until then the things Sessions pointed out are still concerning.
