Looks to me like a sign of weakness from our guy Sisi. He, better than anyone, should recognize that you can’t compromise with The Muslim Brotherhood. It is their way or the highway - two very bad alternatives.

I’ll bet you anything that Obama is still using our tax dollars to try and prop up his MB pals over there. He hasn’t forgotten how the Egyptians rejected his MB government that he helped put in place during the “Arab Spring” and I don’t think he’s ready to give up on that.
Well, it was the MB that elevated him to the position of defense minister. And even though a lot of Egyptians were happy to see Morsi go for economic reasons, they’re still aligned with the MB ideologically—after all, it was not all MB in Tahrir Square back in 2011 chanting “To Jerusalem we go, martyrs in the millions” or assaulting Lara Logan and other women during that time.
Well, the jihadis are using terror techniques originally used by the commies. So they’ve always been just like each other, never mind that the MB and other such Muslim groups espouse “Islamic socialism”.
Well, it is MEM, and their alignment is clear. They must be feeling bolder to make such assertions. Maybe the Iran “deal” is making them feel their oats again?
