That tells me that marriage as an institution was doomed in this country a long time ago. Then your answer is to add to the train wreck and allow people of the same sex to wed? That's as patently ridiculous as allowing fathers to wed daughters, cowboys to wed horses.
The worthless Supreme Court has indeed taken another crap on the Constitution.
Haven't you figured this out yet? The U.S. Supreme Court didn't "redefine" marriage in their decision. They basically just eliminated any definition of marriage whatsoever. So now fathers can "wed" daughters (there might be very good practical reasons to do this for estate planning purposes), cowboys can "wed" horses, 35 men in an organized crime family can "marry" each other and protect themselves from being compelled to testify against each other, etc. The Supreme Court has simply taken a lid on institutionalized lunacy that was already open quite a bit, and pushed it all the way open.
Those of us who never had any faith in the U.S. government or its institutions are probably the ones who are least bothered by this. I suspect the ones who are most bothered by this are those well-meaning conservatives who are finally realizing that the Ayatollah Khomenei was right when he called the United States of America "the Great Satan."
