When I think of him, I thinks of one of the least objectionable Leftists these days. Obviously I don’t agree with him. He seems to have some sense.

I had to pick up some passengers who chartered a flight back in 1994. I pulled up to the ramp and two old family station wagons pulled up to the plane. This is not typical in the world of aviation.

Out scampered Elizabeth Dole, Henry Kissinger, Jesse Helms, Sam Nunn, and a frail Strom Thurmond with an aide who looked like Douglass C Neidermeyer. They all had very polite, respectful, pleasant conversation during the trip as much as I could hear. They were all very different in politics but were decent people raised with manners and class. Unfortunately they are a lost generation now for all purposes.

The Patsy Schroder's, Bob Casey's, Thatcher Longstreth's, Richard Thornburgh's etc.....are of the past.
