How is tyranny to be restrained?
The same way tyranny is always restrained.
There is no exception in human history to that remedy.
“How is tyranny to be restrained?”
After everything else has failed.. force.
>>How is tyranny to be restrained?
Well, for starters more SOCIAL conservatives must start exercising their 1st amendment responsibilities instead of just worshiping the Created Things associated with the 2nd.
And that means being able to articulate a response that consists of more than just regurgitating something that was heard on Talk Radio, or on Sunday morning.
By the heavy, focused, enthusiastic exercise of the Second Amendment.
It certainly doesn't happen by voting.
Revolts aren't won by votes.
“How is tyranny to be restrained?”
By a really TOUGH tyrant, that’s how! /s;)
How is cancer to be restrained?
Depends what kind and what stage it's in. Later stage requires seriously invasive procedures.
For both, talking about it does nothing.

There is a sleeping giant in America a giant that has been hunkering down, keeping quiet, and trying not to make any waves. A sleeping giant just trying to ride out the storm bearing down on America, focused on family, their jobs, and life, while the national turmoil and chaos swirls and blows against them and those they love. For years, a Beast has been poking the chest of our sleeping giant. Poke. Poke. Poke.
The Beast is a bully. Like all bullies, looking for a fight and growing in confidence each year while our giant sleeps. Our sleeping giant appears to have been silenced. No one appears to be willing to stand against the Beasts destructive behavior. No one in power, not the media, not the national stage, not elected officials, not even the local school board or city council is communicating what our sleeping giant can trust and believe.

From the text of the Declaration of Independence:
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
