Bristol Palin just threw cold water on what's supposed to be a joyous occasion ... being pregnant.
Palin's in the early stages of her second out of wedlock pregnancy, and this time she's full on grumpy, saying she knows it will be "a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you."
Bristol says she's "trying to keep [my] chin up on this one."
Sarah Palin's daughter was engaged to U.S. Marine veteran Dakota Meyer, but they broke things off last month. Bristol didn't say if Dakota's the dad.
Bristol was full of piss and vinegar, saying, "I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."
She famously had her son, Tripp, with Levi Johnston in December 2008. They broke up a few months later.
I believe you’re confused because you think many posters are disappointed that Bristol Palin was fornicating. That probably applies only to a few. Many more have no problem with fornication unless there’s a pregnancy.
The gist of the entire thread seems to be disappointment in Bristol Palins behavior; but at the same time, some people seem to be incredulous - or else making fun - of someone who is actually doing what Bristol Palin FAILED to do.
Color Me Confused."
Come on. We're all adults here, including Satin Doll. She won't be surprised to get a few responses after disclosing that information.
Yes, abstinence would have prevented Bristol's pregnancy. But birth control would have, as well.
Whether illegitimacy matters here probably depends more on who is involved - case in point.
Certainly though hypocrisy should matter here regardless.
I’m not acquainted with Satin Doll; but I read her comment as one in support of simple self-control.
Some people have strong convictions that preclude the use of artificial birth control.
That leaves celibacy.
I wasn’t confused about responses to Bristol Palin’s situation.
I was confused over the responses to Satin Doll.
Yes birth control IS real....for MEN too
Don’t you think you’re overreacting a bit here? I think you might be.
And I would much rather see an out-of-wedlock LIVE baby, than an aborted one.
It’s the same point. The premise is that abstinence from sex, including for the unmarried, is bizarre and unreal.
So would I. I’d like to see more adoption by stable married couples, though, and fewer children being reared by single mothers with demonstrably poor judgment.
Bristol says.........”I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”.....
Coming from the mouth of one who was an “ambassador for abstinence,” after her first pregnancy.
As I see it if she were not Palin’s daughter how would she be seen and responded to?
” Id like to see more adoption by stable married couples, though,”
So would I, but from what I have seen up close, they don’t make it easy at all, even for the “ stable married couples”.
Sorry
When the most popular conservative this forum has ever had daughter has yet another out of wedlock baby
It’s news
It’s the Sarah worship clouding some eyes here
I have two early 20s daughters
I don’t blame Sarah
Given her speeches I’d be surprised if she encourages illegitimacy
Bristol is either irresponsible or wants attention
...”I like Bristol, and you people should give this poor girl a break”....
First of all let’s be truthful she’s anything but “poor” in any meaning you might have in mind in using that word.....I’d say foolish at best and that’s being kind for what I’d otherwise say if she were my daughter.
She says she wants “to be left alone”....yet gladly “announces, (using her word) that she’s pregnant.
She’s really coming across stupid and might very well be so at the rate she’s going.
What are the Vegas odds for Bristol turning this into a reality show? I’d say it’s at least 50/50.
At least she is remorseful for disappointing people with her actions unlike these people out here breeding just to get a monthly check that my tax dollars have to support. I won’t have to support her children and I can’t see the Palin family EVER not welcoming a child to the family.
No, they don’t. Couples wait for years and years, sometimes forever.
“The first time she was excused because of her youth and immaturity”...
Nothings changed she’s still immature and foolish....to say the least.
She’s been hanging with a rough crowd so what would one expect?
