The Supreme Court had an opportunity, with its ruling in King v. Burwell, to determine whether the United States is a nation of laws or of men. Today, in a 6-3 decision, the Court ruled that we have devolved into the latter.
Although the text of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) clearly states that the government may issue subsidies only through insurance exchanges established by the states, Obama administration bureaucrats unilaterally rewrote that part of the law so that the IRS could dispense such premium assistance through marketplaces created by the federal government. The plaintiffs in King sued the government on the grounds that the Executive Branch has no power to thus alter an act of Congress.
Incredibly, SCOTUS has sided with the White House.

The only fear the executive branch will have is that of the voters. Unfortunately, the insanely stupid, insipid, and corrupt Republican party has seen to it that a Republican candidate will never again win the presidency. The ONLY Republican candidate who can win is Ted Cruz, and the GOPe is doing everything in its power to sink him.
I say To He** with the corrupt, hypocritical, and incompetent GOPe Republican party that is rotten to the core.
It is high time, beginning with the 2016 elections, for Conservatives to divorce themselves from the Republican Party and start over with a new, honest, and true Conservative political movement.
There’s a difference between needs and expectations.
I hear ya!
Just so many who are supposed to be on our side.....who ain’t.
Exactly and the same thing they did to Romney in 2012. You have to ask yourself would Romney be better than King Obama. And we still have idiots that cannot see the difference. Remember, Romney said health care was not a Federal mandate but up to the States. Same ars haters still sit on a pile of dung and cannot figure it out.
“Armed revolution would be a bloody carnage much like the Civil War unless the rank and file of the military sided with the civilian militia which is a long shot at best. “
No actually when it comes it will be short and sharp. This is not France.
ROFLOL!!!!
Today was one of the nails in the coffin of this once great Republic. It’s over now. Mob rule prevails.
Nope, no hope. One guy stopped it, just like in Arizona and LA...

I agree with the sentiment but to do so will simply put another Clinton in the White House.
What we need to do is take over the county Republican parties. Then State Republican Parties and that means running for Precinct Captain. or whatever they call it in your state.
Take over the enough of the state parties and you will take over the national party.
“I was not surprised. Our courts seem to be trending downward these days, away from sensible business practices and individual rights.”
All of the justices come from Ivy League law schools where the “living constitution” is doctrine. Why should we be surprised?
The real surprise is Congress so willingly allowing the Executive branch and the Judicial branch to neuter it over the past 20 years. Perhaps life is just too good on the lobbyist gravy train to care.
If that role has now been forever changed with the precedent of Roberts ObamaCare decisions, then it is time to strip Supreme Court justices of lifetime tenure and subject them to frequent elections and the possibility of recall, just like any other legislator. Otherwise, were going to get more of what happened in this disastrous ruling; indeed, power-hungry members of the legislature have every reason to aim high and grab as much power as they can with every law they create, secure in the knowledge that the Supreme Court super-legislature will rescue them from their arrogance and folly, at absolutely zero political cost.
Heed these words of Justice Antonin Scalia, Republicans. Memorize them. This really is the beginning of a political war, not the end whether you feel like fighting or not....read more...

I agree that it is better to have a Republican in the White House than Hillary, if, and only if, it is Ted Cruz.
Besides the fact that Ted Cruz is the only Republican who can beat Hillary, any other Republican will simply turn into a John Roberts - someone “assuredly” conservative...until they get power.
The Republican Party is corrupt to its rotten core, and the longer True Conservatives continue to support it, the longer it will take for Conservatism to prevail. Eventually, the Republican Party will corrupt Conservatism.
