Exclusive–Donald Trump: Univision Targeting Me on Behalf of Mexican Gov’t, Trying to ‘Silence’ Me
Breitbart ^ | 25 Jun 2015 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 06/25/2015 11:33:27 AM PDT by mandaladon

Republican presidential candidate and real estate magnate Donald Trump tells Breitbart News exclusively that he has no plans whatsoever to back down in the face of Univision—on behalf of the Mexican government—targeting him after he’s exposed trade deals and immigration problems that benefit Mexico and harm the United States.

“The Mexican government is putting tremendous pressure on Univision and there are plenty of others—lobbyists and special interests—putting tremendous pressure on Univision to break their fully signed and fully effective contract with the Miss Universe Organization because I’ve exposed the tremendously bad trade deals that the United States is so incompetently making with Mexico and also because of the fact that I’ve exposed some of the terrible things that happen on the southern border,” Trump said in his first interview, which came with Breitbart News on Thursday, in response to the news that under pressure from Mexican officials, Univision has announced it will end its plans to carry the Miss Universe pageants. Trump is a co-owner of the pageant organization.

“One of the reasons that I’m resonating with the people of the United States is that I’m willing to expose this and this is why our country is losing so much money on our trade deals with Mexico and other countries,” Trump said. “So this is what is happening: I have a fully signed contract, and they don’t want me to talk badly about the trade deals because doing that they’re not going to be able to continue to rip off the United States.”

On Thursday morning, the Wrap reported that Univision is ceasing all ties with Trump’s Miss Universe organization.

Exactly as I feel. The elitistists want us infighting while they use PC to silence our opinions.

“Of course it is already dead to the nation, because it does nothing to strengthen it. Why bother?”

You make a very good point that we as conservatives have been served an endless smorgasbord of $hit sandwiches by the the GOPE. And like you, I’ve gotten to that Rubicon which I am likely to cross if the next GOP candidate is another $hit sandwich in the person of a Christie, Bush, Graham, or a half-dozen of the other assorted candidates. For me, it will be an easy decision because the GOP candidate isn’t going to win California anyway. So I’m sitting here trying to figure out what the alternative course of action might be. Or if I should just sit back and enjoy the rest of what’s left of my life and let America go under. I do know that for California, I hope and pray every day that it will go bankrupt, but the catastrophe of a national bankruptcy is a completely different matter. I’m all ears to hear what others think we should do.

That’s my position too. Let Trump be a candidate. He has that right just same as the rest of them, and lately what he’s been saying has a lot of truth in it.
South40 is simply unwilling to allow Trump that right! Ready, Fire, Aim, right South40? I’m sure Trump doesn’t care what you think of him anyway.

"keep talking, donnie. every time you open your mouth, you lose half of your support."

The exact opposite is true. He makes the rest of the GOP field look like a bunch of spineless little cowards.

Don’t forget that most of the drugs in this country today comes through Mexico. There is a huge heroin problem today and most of that cheap heroin is coming from Mexico.

For years all the establishment people have either ignored illegal immigration or they have attacked or shown disdain to anyone who dared breach the subject. I am sick of such attacks as nativist, bigot and anti-immigrant applied to honest American citizens who just want to talk about immigration but who are always shouted down by the liberal/RINO axis. Thee cheers for Donald Trump.

It really ticks me off when those little nobody tv reporters go up to people with their microphones and everybody acts as if they are being interviewed by the chief inquisitor. Who are these self important losers. There is an old saying “Those who can do. Those who can’t teach.” Well who are these reporters? People who can’t. They are envious of people who can.

I finally stopped giving to the GOP. It took me a while but it finally occurred to me that I could give to Tea Party people or individual candidates. I think that when you donate to the Republican party the way it is your money is being combined with the big donors money but it is the big donors who are making the decisions as to what is being done with your money. They take our money, give it to their stupid, weak candidates and then use our donations to pretend that they have massive support among the people. We should leave them naked with their billionaire donors so that they will be exposed as not having any support with regular people.

“I finally stopped giving to the GOP.”

I did that back in GWB’s first term, and I just told the University of California Alumni Association the same thing (those Marxist a$$holes!). Now, like you, I only give money directly to people in whom I have some degree of confidence will do what they say they are going to do. Doesn’t always turn out that way, but is sure as hell eliminates the GOPE.

I’ll address California for ya. It’s the way I see the state, and I don’t think my thoughts are that far off base. They’re certainly food for thought.

California, despite what everyone seems to think, IS still in play. The reason it doesn’t capitalize on that is that there isn’t a single loud Conservative voice in the state making the case for Conservatism. ZILCH!

What happens when very important high level Leftist drivel is lofted for public support? Same sex marriage is stricken down. Driver’s licenses for illegal is voted down.

The state leaders had to lie viciously to get bullet trains passed. They couldn’t just present it on it’s face and expect to win.

You can probably think of other Leftist policy where the public got it right.

So what does this tell us? It tells us that when there is a high level issue and the pros and cons are argued in the public arena, the public actually gets it.

So what is happening? Why are folks not getting it when it comes to elected officials?

The media is one reason. It’s extremely biased. It gives long air time to guys like Davis and hardly any to Simon.

Then there’s the Republican party that wouldn’t step foot in the state if it couldn’t abscond with tens of millions of dollars from fundraisers it will spend in the other 49 states. California? Not a chance!

When we do loft a decent candidate, he is abandoned financially and socially by the in-state and national RNC GOPe elites.

Simon was outspent by about ten to one. While he was being drive around by bus to engagements, Davis was flown by a corporate jet.

Davis had all sorts of national figures show up on the platform with him. Senators, Congressmen, ex Presidents, other big names were in abundance. Simon had very few minor players show up for him. Bush showed up one day. One!

The GOPe and the RNC would rather spot the Democrats 54 electoral votes than show their face in the state to support taking it back.

The result is a route in the state capital, and a Democrat governor almost perpetually.

There it is in a nutshell.

South40 is a solid guy. I was a little over the top to make a point.

What he says with Trump is true on the face of it. These are strange times though, and I personally think we have to support people who voice solid policy, even if we don’t think they’ll implement it. Why?

We do it because as they gain support, guess what the other candidates have to do. If they want to gain support, they have to adopt some of the policies of the guy who is peaking.

It’s that simple. So what do our people do? They do their damnedest to destroy the alternate voice for the Liberal Republicans based on personality issues, and other valid observations.

I say we do that entirely too fast. The time to dump Trump is on the way to the primaries, about a month before. It sure isn’t now when good policy has a chance to gain traction.

Trump is the first guy since Buchanan in 2000 to push decent immigration and trade policies.

What’s the goal here, wait another fifteen years?

Good freakin’ grief!

Okay guys, in 2030 we may get another chance. What will the excuse for dumping that guy be? There will be one, I guarantee it.

If you want to ask me a question vette, you might want to ping me, that way I would know.

To address your question; of course he has that right, and I'm fairly certain I never said I didn't. I, too, have the right to voice my opinion of his candidacy, his positions and his history of being a liberal. And that is all I have done here.

I’m sure Trump doesn’t care what you think of him anyway.

And I am certain I wouldn't care if he did.
