WASHINGTON (AP) — Investigators are blaming mistakes by IRS employees — not a criminal conspiracy — for the loss of thousands of emails related to the tax agency's tea party scandal.
IRS workers erased 422 computer backup tapes that "most likely" contained as many as 24,000 emails to and from former IRS official Lois Lerner, who has emerged as a central figure in congressional investigations, according to IRS's inspector general.
The workers erased the tapes a month after IRS officials discovered that an untold number of Lerner's emails were lost. The IG says the workers were unaware of a year-old directive not to destroy email backup tapes.

The Republicans have done what about this? Another reason it’d time to leave! They don’t want to fight the socialists and their movement to dictatorship but to ally themselves to them to become part of the elite.
And just what is the impotent Congress going to do about it???? They have no authority to do anything meaningful but shout and stamp their feet. Total corruption in this government from top to bottom. Can’t trust a one of them.
This should be all it takes to dissolve the IRS, eliminate the income tax and jail the miscreants. It is obvious that politicians and bureaucrats under this system are allowed to destroy a taxpayer on a whim.

We aren’t powerless to stop these shenanigans, we’re simply unwilling to do so.
Since the government is well aware of our continued apathy towards their atrocious behavior, they have become more and more brazen. They have no fear of any repercussions.
This trend is building momentum. Anyone who is aware of historical patterns repeating can see where this is leading and how it will end.

I can say in addition to that, folks have a difficult time coordinating because of the all seeing eyes.
