True, it's a distraction away from the source problem; but that is the way the demorats win the propaganda war!

for too long, republican office holders just want to pander and/or ignore the distractions the demorats bring, and everyone in the US pays for it.

As to this distraction, it is easily rebutted, and can be a big win for conservatives by bringing out the truth about the Demorat Party's history.
