Not a change in the Christian position. The fake journalists who cover religion apparently don’t know the source documents of the faith.

If there's *serious* misconduct by *either* spouse then one could argue that breakup is the only reasonable option...particularly if there's no end to that misconduct in sight.Spousal abuse, child abuse...even major drug or alcohol issues can be considered.

But stuff like the husband saying "I want a newer model" or the wife saying "I feel unfulfilled" is stupid, selfish and inexcusable.

In the NINETEEN THIRTIES, my paternal grandmother had to divorce my paternal grandfather, in order to protect her family. She never attempted to marry again. Thus, she was never barred from the sacraments, certainly not from the Eucharist. She died many decades later, a faithful daughter of the Church.

The Catholic Church has for a VERY long time tolerated separation in cases where it’s necessary for peace or safety.

This is not news except for secular outlets pushing agendas who want to imply that with just a little nudge the Catholic Church can be made to support “what-you-will”.

When it comes to reporting on the Catholic Church, the secular media are hopelessly ignorant, incompetent, and biased. Only a fool would take them seriously.

Is it just me, or do the slides seem greased for the absolute destruction of anything that has been built on reason in the past, just to make way for complete anarchy and degeneracy?

Marriage, sexual relationships, history, everything.

That doesn’t mean they can re-marry and commit adultery.

So the message is “don’t stay around in an unsafe situation where your spouse is beating you.”

Stop the Presses!

I could never figure out why the Catholic church would kick out, (or whatever they do), anyone who got divorced regardless of the circumstances.............
