Trump Surges in Popularity in N.H., Taking Second Place in Suffolk Poll
Wall Street Journal ^ | June 23rd, 2015 | By Reid J. Epstein

He’s dismissed by the political professionals, but there is no denying that the appetite for Donald Trump among Republican primary voters is real.

The New York developer and reality television star is second among 2016 presidential candidates in a new Suffolk University poll of New Hampshire Republicans – behind only former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

The poll of 500 likely GOP presidential primary voters found 14% back Mr. Bush. Mr. Trump is right behind at 11%. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio come next, with 8% and 7%, respectively. The poll tested 19 GOP candidates – a rare survey that included ultra-longshots like Mark Everson and former Govs. Bob Ehrlich and Jim Gilmore.

While Mr. Trump is experiencing a bump in popularity after announcing the launch of his campaign last week (he filed formal Federal Elections Commission paperwork Monday), he remains the most disliked GOP candidate in the field. Suffolk found he is the only GOP candidate with a net unfavorable rating in New Hampshire — 37% of those surveyed had a favorable opinion of Mr. Trump, compared to 49% who had an unfavorable view.

So he gives millions to his enemies just to make a profit for himself? Great presidential material.

Red Hampshire people know only a Bush; they need a name they can remember.

"How awful would that be!!!

Yeah, that would suck.

But compare to Obama or Bush or Hillarity.

Hell, even Cruz is tedious.

"The man is still a clown."

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly.

But he is the ONLY person in the campaign so far that has position on the high-profile issues of the day...the align with the American people.

Anyone who thinks "Free Trade" and "Immigration Reform" are tickets to the White House is DELUSIONAL.

It's not going to happen.

Geet used to hating Trump. In the past you could ignore him months, even years at a time.

No more. This buffoon is the next POTUS.

“Not to worry, I am sure I wil vote for the Republicn candidate, no matter who it is. Not voting against a liberal democrat is unthinkable!”

We rural conservatives have a problem in that we are told to blame “liberals” when in reality we should be blaming the ballet and opera going, urban, Harvard, rich Manhattan racist pretend PC elites who own and pull strings and control the liberals.

The liberal huddled masses are merely herds of sheep who are set up to baaaaah when their elitist masters chirp that we need to burn the Confederate flag. The “elites” are setting us up to take our rights and guns.

The solution is for one state at all costs to hold a primary, CLOSED, before NH. NH will not like it and probably set an absurd date but the curse will be broken.

If you say ‘American jobs for American workers’, voters will come running to you. It’s that simple. Bernie Sanders is working along the same lines on the left, with similar results.
Ordinary working people are turning en masse against globalism. They quite properly see themselves as getting the short end of that stick. Both Trump and Sanders speak to these workers in a way that other globalists in the Demopublican party do not.

Trump vs Sanders 2016, I can see it.

Oh I don’t support him...but I like that he’s saying some things that need to be said.

National Review had an article addressing this peculiar weakness of folks on the right; conservatives are unable to distinguish between entertainers and political leaders, and they too often treat politics as an exercise in emotional vindication.

"Saying things that need to be said" is worthless if you were big supporter of Kelo and see no problem in using the government to steal peoples' homes.
