Lewy Body is a horrible ending.
Sad that he had dementia. RIP and God bless him.
Old, but related - kind of..

"#Pink Lives Matter!"
do we have to guess what his grave marker will look like?
There is a flamingo festival every July in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
Those pink flamingos are all over the downtown area.
There’s food booths, tables of people selling new and vintage items, a parade, etc.
Out to put mine on the lawn right now.
This is a sad lose.

Wife likes these things. I think we have one that still stands. We’ll have to put it out front for a while.
Even as a kid I thought those things were pretty tacky/kitschy.
His wife made their clothing from gaudy polyester material of hideous patterns, not unlike the stuff used for a shower curtain. Both Mr. & Mrs. matched perfectly, except he wore pants and she a skirt.
Years ago, I found a stash of original pink flamingos in a Leominster attic. They were put up there, unused and unopened in their original packaging, where cats ultimately had litters and crapped. The desire to get to these relics prompted me to throw caution to the wind and retrieve them. It was a traumatic, filthy, and smelly experience, but I'm glad I saved them.
I know his niece very well (he her godfather) and we always have a good giggle over her relation to the pink flamingo.
Tackiness has lost an irreplaceable icon in Mr.Featherstone who was very humble over his contribution to trailer parks around the world.
I lived right outside of Fitchburg for 1.5 years! Did not know he was “the guy” who made flamingos!
