It was pissing down rain here again today.
My feets is still soaking wet.
Went and looked at a Colt Mustang recently. A lot more substantial than I thought. Good feel, great weight but the salesman wouldn’t say if it jammed or not.
Finally started to dry out here a little bit in the last couple days.
Though I am happy the Mustang is back
I have a zastava in 32 acp that is a cross between the 1911 and the tokarev, I found one .380 but the numbers dis not match so I passed.
None of the numbers ever matched, never saw one again *dang it*
I missed the window on the grass Saturday
Now its soaking wet again, lakes are breaching
Hey mylife - you asked a while back about the Bodyguard 380 and trigger job.
I did the work a few months ago and finally got to the range to try it.
The trigger job was pretty easy, hardest work was to cleanly knock out a roll pin.
Today I compared it side by side with my son’s stock bodyguard (happy Father’s day!). The kit moved the trigger break up which was good - on the stock model sometimes it feels like it will never fire, and it feels like it may move around. The mod made it sooner and more consistent.
But it’s still very long. I didn’t measure the force, but it didn’t seem to change much.
Here’s the kit:
The salesman was big on the LC9 so I looked at that too. It’s just like my Solo, size, weight and trigger pull.
I like tinkering, sadly God as given me old eyes eyes and made my hands a bit wonky, so pins and springs get frustrating.
I have a Polish P 64 that has an excellent SA trigger, crisp and light, but the Da trigger is among the worst the world has ever seen ((maybe 13 lbs)
It is my understanding that that can be fixed using an after market Walther PPK trigger spring
I carry the LC9 but the DA Trigger sicks donkey balls
Hmm. The kit I installed changed the geometry of the trigger pull, so I suspect that fixing the DA pull that way might ruin the SA trigger.
Perhaps a spring change would do the trick.
I spent almost all day yesterday getting caught up on yard work. Had not edged the lawn for about 3 weeks.
Someone on the net can tell ya or a good gunsmith can work wonders
I just like doing it myself
Tom tells us figures lie and liars figure....
Me too! I was a machinist in a previous life. ;-)
I was a welder in my previous life and had an affinity for dealing with fiddly things like pins and springs.
Now its all hit or miss
Heh. My eyes aren’t as good and hands aren’t as steady.
Now it takes more time, patience, and light!
People that do not carry in church are like snake handlers.
Every temple is full of sinners.
I am with the Sihks on this, It is a SIN to not defend yourself or family
Comments?
Defiantly more light! LOL
