Who brings a gun to church?
It’s a sad day when we do.
The people who do bring guns to church are CCWs or off duty police/military who haven’t had time to change out of their uniform. Still there’s no clear cut easy defense against at least the early shots, and there’s a risk that even defenders will put bullets in bystanders as well. But this kid was a coward. IMHO, somebody needs to let the inmates of whatever prison he goes to know that he is a black child killer, then see how long he lasts in there.
In most of the evangelical & charismatic churches I know of, the leadership and ushers are armed.
“Who brings a gun to church?”
Me.

If there is a place my weapon is not welcome I take that to mean I am as well.
Who brings a gun to church?
Every parishioner should. The Church is like an extended family. They deserve your protection.
“Who brings a gun to church?”
The Sheepdogs.
I do, and I know many others that do. I am a part of my Church’s volunteer security detail. Most are former or serving military/peace officers and have concealed carry permits, though those are not needed in Arizona.
The guy whose sermons I listen to, for one. And I've not fallen asleep during one yet. O Lord our God, God of Power and Might, powerful in strength, strong in battle, You once gave miraculous strength to Your child David granting him victory over his opponent the blasphemer Goliath. Mercifully accept our humble prayer. Send Your heavenly blessing upon these weapons. Give to them power and strength that they may protect Your holy Church, the poor and the widows, and Your holy inheritance on earth, and make them horrible and terrible to any enemy army, and grant victory to Your people for your glory, for You are our strength and protection and unto You do we send up praise and glory, to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
