I read what this KID wrote about Patriotism, so here goes:

(I ‘quote’ him, I ‘star’ my response)

Patriotism

“I hate the sight of the American flag.”

** It is obvious that this KID has not been taught the history, and the worth of my flag.**

“Modern American patriotism is an absolute joke.”

** This KID has not been raised right, with no proper instilling and understanding of what America is all about.**

“People pretending like they have something to be proud while White people are being murdered daily in the streets.”

** Obviously, there has been no instruction from his parents.**

“Many veterans believe we owe them something for “protecting our way of life” or “protecting our freedom”. But im not sure what way of life they are talking about.”

** After reading this, I’m stopping. Why? The parents did not teach him about honor, duty to country - and why, or, again, what it is that has made America so special as a place in the world. The KID does not have ANY clue as to what ‘Freedom’ really is, how it got there, and why it is important to keep. In his exclusion, he ‘blames’ all veterans who became such, post-Vietnam. How can he think that, when in every military action ‘post-Vietnam’, there was NO DRAFT!! All of my fellow post-Vietnam veterans JOINED ON THEIR OWN!! Again, honor, duty, country.

I’d put this KID in a padded room, alone, with an active duty Marine for 30 minutes.**

Would it take the Marine 30 minutes to adjust this kid’s attitude?
