So? None of them will condone this, nor will most say we need to get rid of the 2nd Amendment. And we aren’t near an election, so any swipes the pres takes will be forgotten by July 4th.

I don't know of any state laws that were passed successfully in the aftermath of Sandy Hook. If anything, I think the aftermath of that incident revealed that Americans have a deep mistrust of almost every institution and industry related to it ... from government to public schools to health care professionals to the pharmaceutical industry.

This will be no different.
