The TPP is already non compliant with TPA. The Congress was not able to set the parameters that the President negotiated under and Congress was also not involved in the negotiations as TPA requires.
At least as soon as TPP is complete, we will get 60 days to review it and contact our Reps and Senators, something we would not have gotten without TPA.
K street come through again.
“Does anyone have a roll call of the votes?”
It’s here (and don’t let the bill title throw you - it’s the right one):

Guess my 11 year old better start learning Chinese since any job left will be in China. Effing RINOs
The 28 rats votes wouldn’t have mattered at all if they weren’t stacked upon 190 RINO votes, and no votes would have occured at all if the RINO leader declined to bring the bill up for a vote.
So let’s be sure to credit the democrat GOP for their efforts to screw America.
My point was that the Dems usually vote in a block on many bills.
The GOP no voters were fighting an uphill battle, which took political courage.
Had the Dems done their part as usual, this would have been defeated.
We know the RINOS vote against us. We are screwed with Boner as Speaker. That is a given.
There was a chance to day to win for America. It did not happen.
So the reason Cruz is doubling down on his TPA vote is that he’s going to have to do it again with the new split TPA/TAA bill.
Yet again.
Mr. niteowl77
There was never a real chance for a win with this Congress
60 days to look at it ans contact reps will work as well as it did this time on the TPA.
Theywill simply maneuver around the constituents while ignoring them.
Without a doubt, chris37.
This was a given going into today’s vote.
Boner wanted this to pass, and was very heavy handed about it.
50 GOP no votes is a great accomplishment in the light of this, compared to only 34 no votes the other day. But the Dems did not vote in lockstep, which for this one unusual instance, would have been good thing for America.
The 50 GOP no votes went out on a limb, which the Dems did not support.
GOP Establishment? Cruz, Gowdy, Huelskamp and Tim Scott all support TPA and enabling Obama’s TPP. Never before have I seen an issue so clearly illustrate the disdain the beltway crowd has for Main Street.
No. The GOP screwed the country again
They pushed it through becasue that’s what their corporate masters want.
Most likely true. But I will give credit to the 50 GOP no voters--that took courage in the current climate.
Same only left wing liberal bullcrap being tossed with a different shovel.
The reason it did not happen is 190 RINOs and fake conservatives
carried this bill.
The GOP now “owns” this bill.
And they will continue to screw the country unless those 50 GOP no voters increase their numbers.
But the Dems are not blameless either. It was they who made the defeat of the TPA their rallying cry, and they didn’t follow through.
Yes without TPA we would have had forever to review it and it (TPP) would have needed 60 votes in the Senate to pass but thanks to TPA TPP only needs 50 votes from Senators and only gets reviewed for up to 60 days, Mitch might decide 1 day is enough. Also remember there a 2 other secrete "trade" bills besides TPP hitched to TPA and those bills are so secrete even the traitors in the GOP are not allow to see them.
They only need 51.
