If they have it in State law, they should just do amendments there. Empowering appointees to threaten, cajole, fire, and hide everything from the public will just remove power from the public and give it to the politicians. One of the biggest threats we face is too darn many unaccountable and unelected people mucking around in everyone’s business.

Good. Most of them couldn’t find their own A$$ with a flashlight, compass, and a roadmap.

Last year, I happened to meet a science/engineering college dean in a social setting.

In conversation I touched on tenure for professors.

He just about exploded in a rant as to putting up with untouchable professors that “couldn’t teach, couldn’t do research, and he couldn’t fire!”

36-13, I read it, it’s short, plenty of room for improvement.

The professoriate has been skewed 90/10 in favor of the Dems for years. If they are so politically “aware”, how can they be surprised when there is political blowback from the other side?

Something’s got to give with the cost of higher education. It’s getting out of reach for middle class families. Living at home and going to community college can only take you so far. Eventually, especially for more specialized degrees, you have to go to a state or private university where costs have skyrocketed.

Another Pollutico/Democratic Party hit piece on Walker.

Funny, don’t see no articles slamming Jeb or Rand Paul.

We can now start to see which candidates The Left is really concerned about - just follow the criticism.

A good step toward degrading the stranglehold the Left has on the indoctrination of our youth.

Universities are where Leftist thought is generated - the funded studies that “inform” and push legislation.

The students are like lab rats.

This joke from the Real Genius was hardly an exaggeration in the eighties. And there are "professors" still this lazy.

Well that dean could find in the future that he would be the first one fired if tenure is removed.

“Scott Walker’s latest target: College professors”............

It’s well past time to reign in those communist bastards the brainwash our youth.

It’s called countervailing forces, which is in line with Newton’s third law.

No surprise. College administrators dislike things they cannot control easily, including those pesky professors who actually do the work that ultimately justifies the administrators’ jobs. I wonder how many classes that dean teaches, or how many research articles he/she has recently published?

Something needs to be done about the administrators which have exponentiated along with the costs.

What most people that haven’t experienced academia from the inside don’t understand is all this “I couldn’t fire X if I wanted to” talk is 99.9% of the time pure B.S. from lazy Administrators.

If they would do their jobs, evaluate and attempt to correct failing Profs. they would have all the ammo needed to terminate when needed. Instead when Evaluation time comes around they pull out a boiler plate stencil, rubber stamp them because they don’t want the conflict.

Then they run off for a summer overseas on the Tax payer’s Dime doing “Research”.
