House Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) joined NPR Wednesday with Steve Inskeep to stress why he says its important for Congress to pass Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which grants President Obama fast-track trade authority. With TPA, Congress cannot issue any amendments to trade agreements and merely gets an up or down vote on a final trade deal.
Ryans go to remark when first questioned about TPA or the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) which is part of three trade deals currently being negotiated is he needs to clarify misperceptions.
Were not considering the TPP, the Trans-Pacific Partnership. There isnt a trade agreement yet to consider. Its not a deal, its still being negotiated, Ryan said.
However, as Breitbart News previously reported and numerous Congressmen have confirmed, several hundreds of pages of Trans Pacific Partnership are available for review in a secret room only for individuals with security clearance. Therefore, there is in fact a trade deal in existence, and Australian Financial Review reported it is near completion.
We are literally one week of negotiation away from completing this extraordinary deal across 12 countries and 40 per cent of the worlds GDP, said Andrew Robb, Australias trade minister..."

Juan. A looser for sure.
Americans have been savaged by the GOP which lied
about ObamaCARE, which lied about ObamaTRADE,
and which lied about ending Tyranny.
RINOs: Ryan. Boehner. Cruz. McConnell. McCain.
They support Obama, ObamaTRADE, and
even the IRS attacks on conservatives (McCain started it).
RINO treason. They just keep twisting the knife they have put in the back of the American citizenry.
Barry’s ‘trade’ thing fan girls will be along shortly...
Trade Deal? Almost all enterprise is about who benefits! Today, America seems to be giving away all of our benefits to help lower Countries. Why?
Why do the politicians continue to accept the idea of Free “Trade as something that is really “free trade”. The idea is actually just a phrase to convince the stupid folks about trade! Actually, it means that we give up tariffs against almost all foreign countries goods and we will not charge you anything...but we will accept almost everything that you have to offer.
Free Trade is a political statement, has nothing to do with actual Free Trade among Countries! We have two parties and both are for Free Trade (Their kind of Free Trade) - what does that say about our Country?
We have become a nation directed by professional politicians. We were established to be controlled by a part time political individual and certainly not a political class as it happens today.
Not sure that the Republic can be saved but if most go back to the Constitution, then it can be. No, it is not about a party today - both are so far off track that it matters little!
Be sure to vote in November 2016. Because Your Vote Really Matters. TM
Hmmm
<”Congress cannot issue any amendments to trade agreements and merely gets an up or down vote on a final trade deal”>
Congress’ powers are specified in the Constitution, so I wonder how this is possible. The Constitution provides for each house to set its own procedures, so how can a law change that? Can’t either house change its rules about how it considers legislation Congress cannot issue any amendments to trade agreements and merely gets an up or down vote on a final trade dealat will?

I got an email from Trey Gowdy’s office trying to convince me that the trade deal was actually a good deal. I emailed my comments back to him. The Republicans know we don’t want this deal, but they want to ram it down our throats.
They are hoping we will forget by the time elections roll around.
Yes, It’s a real problem! We have both parties trying to subvert American trade and most have no idea.
Now I am for Free Trade but it has to perform to the idea of (FREE TRADE) but not whatever that is these days. It seems to be more about condensation to the Country currently under discussion.
Give me Free Trade, no tariffs, no objectives to our exports, no taxes on our exports and imports, sure - lets make a deal. Not really the case these days, America always loses.
How about we add a provision to the trade deal that after 5 years if weve lost 1 job one Democrat and one Republican will be hung in public?
5 years? Procrastination seldom works well.
Breitbart’s Alex Swoyer and Matthew Boyle are muckrakers and yellow journalists.
I am no fan of Paul Ryan, but those two journalists are biased and only present a favorable view from one side.
Anyone who disagrees with that view is demonized.
But we won’t!
Any legislation that needs to be kept secret from the American people before our so called “Representatives” vote on it is really a slap in the face of every freedom loving America!
Keep in the back of your mind which RINO’s are supporting this and the lies they are using to push it through the Congress!
The American people will fast track authority these RINO’s to the unemployment line come the next election!
If USCongress does not awaken USA will be dismembered. Whores who sell their souls for a few lying dollars of business interests.
With this fast track or trade promotion Authority bill they want to lower it to 51% and no amendments. that's a dictatorship and the end of America. Obama can basically rewrite USA laws as treaties override USA laws.
It would be ridiculously easy to pass a treaty with only a 51% up or down vote , no debates and no amendments.
This is unconstitutional. We want amendments that could kill a bad bill as the Constitution allows. We want 66% approval not 51% .Call Congress . Tell them to vote no on TPA (Trade promotion authority).
