The old Pope.
*Dashes quickly from room...
He wants a world government that would take money from producers and give it to indolent low-IQ babymakers.
That would be his ideal.
It’s not the pope’s job to push for political goals. He is out of bounds.
He is a failure as pope.
If the Pope buys a speech ( a million up) or 'gives' to the right Foundation maybe he'll be granted the right... It's pay to play in the old US of A....
Indeed. The woman is identified as a Church. So we have two competing candidates. Rome = RCC and Istanbul = Islam.
F’n catholic scum.
There. Fixed it.
That shows disrespect for FReepers who are Catholic. Please don’t do that.
That’s quite good.
I'm just so sick and tired of this imbecile pope and what he is doing. That's how I feel towards him and I make no apologies, especially as someone who was forced to endure first communion against his will.
I'm not Catholic. I despise their most of their practices/rituals. I fear this Pope. With that said, your posting seemed broad. Although I get into somewhat "escalated" discussions with our papist friends, I try my best to still like and respect them even though we are miles apart on religious issues. YMMV
The Pope calls for a one world government to rule all of mankind, let’s have it located in Rome and may as well make him the leader of the New World Order.
Let’s also give everyone a number so we can be identified from everyone else, let’s have it be the micro-chip in the ObamabCare bill.
Wait I think I read somewhere else about this.
A One World Government, a One World Currency and a One World Religion. Peace and Prosperity is guaranteed!! The Pope and Obama wouldn’t lie to us.
To declare that men can control weather changes is the epitome of arrogance, even for a Pope. The Sun, and in first instance God are responsible for weather changes.
Pope Francis is more radical and dangerous than Obama. As soon as he took power he rescued from the trash bin of History the Marxist liberation theology after was proscribed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Francis called the most radical of its leaders, Leonardo Boff, who was silenced by H.H. Pope John Paul II, as one of his adviser for his encyclical that tries to give moral support to the global warming hoax, but instead Francis destroys his credibility and demeans the respect for the Catholic Church.
This guy is the Papal version of Rachel Dolezal.
“....Or maybe a younger, conservative cardinal?”
I want Cardinal Burke, whom Pope Francis dissed bigtime.
Who are the Catholics going to believe? The Pope, or that God is in control?
How utterly terrible.
is it not both?
Papal infallibility is a dogma of the Catholic Church that states that, in virtue of the promise of Jesus to Peter, the Pope is preserved from the possibility of error "When, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church."The last time the pope exercised this dogmatic teaching authority was in 1950.
+ + +
Yes, Christ is the Head of the Church, which is His Body.
But the Pope has a unique role in Christ's earthly Church.
The Bible tells us that Jesus is the King of the eternal and redeemed Davidic Kingdom. (Luke 1:32)
In the ancient Davidic kingdom, the palace majordomo served as the representative of the king (or vice-regent) in the king's absence. (Isaiah 22:15-25)
The authority of this office was represented by an over-sized key which the vice-regent wore around his neck. (Isaiah 22:22)
As the King of the eternal House of David, Jesus holds the Key of David. (Rev. 3:7)
Jesus gave the "keys of the kingdom," representing the office of the vice-regent of the eternal, redeemed House of David, to Peter. (Matthew 16:19)
